RAM:     1.5 GB RAM -> 9.45GB Available
     PageFile 3.35Gb -> 2.79Gb Available
Video Card:     1GB ATI Radeon HD4650
Audio:     SoundMAX Digital Audio
DirectX:     "DirectX 9.0c (Mar2009) or Later"

MassEffect2.exe     v1.02
MassEffect2Launcher.exe     v1.01
MassEffect2Config.exe     v1.03

I am not sure if that is enough or too much information.
Anyway, the game starts fine and loads the intro fine, and the first part where you are in the Normondy goes fine and the video depicting the recovery thing goes fine, but immediatly after the game crashes to desktop.  i ran it in windowed mode and saw that the loading screen starts as the game crash and stays there till i click "ok" or "cancel" on the send error report.  it says it is loading, but it never finishes.  I have tried to search for this problem but i cannot find anything for my problem.  but it is hard to tell what would be my problem after all this time.  All of the settings have been tried on the lowest settings.

If anymore info is needed ask, i just want to get this game running.

Your system doesnt meet minimum requirements to run the game.

The requirement calls for a C2D:

" Processor = 1.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or equivalent AMD CPU "

None of the Pentium P4s are the equivalent of any C2D, although I would think that the PC should at least try somewhat harder to do so than it is at present.

That's what I thought, but I had that exact same CPU for a long time and it still sits upstairs managing a server. The HT 'faked' second CPU with the high non-OC clock helped many game run that otherwise would not have. Although it did help that I had zero power supply problems and a better GPU solution; all on a slick motherboard with good memory.

Still, the first post above is correct.  Specified requirements are specified requirements.

I am not sure why, but on a fresh install of XP it runs flawlessly. Not sure what was wrong with my last install of XP.

ME-2 used the same UT3 engine, but was much better optimized for running on a PC than ME-1 was.  If you do manage to convince the old Dinosaur PC to actually operate with the older game as well, I'm not optimistic about the results.
