i my gear and weapons wont change

i left the main camp ant started the mages tower, when i started to fight something, i had my daggers out but quickly i switched my wepons set. i started shooting arrows out of my daggers. then i tried to put on new gear, in the inventory it showed the switch but in gameplay it didnt. also when im in the fade, i try to turn into something, but my charecter doesnt actully change. all the golems talents are there, but it wont let me use them. whats going on?
