I searched around some sites and I saw that if you start that DLC, you will not have a chance to go back until you complete it or something.
So should I start the DLC AFTER or BEFORE I finish the game?

I really need help!

Thanks :)

I prefer to do it asap. You can get some nice upgrades by going back after doing other missions. It also lets you respec your squad mates.

But if I'm doing it for the story, would is still matter? I mean, after I finish that DLC I can still continue with the story with no problems, right? (stupid question, I know lol) Also, I want to transfer this save to ME3 when it comes out and I want to keep my WHOLE team alive during the last mission. Does it still won't matter when I do that DLC?

I think it makes storyline sense to do it when you can get to Illium(I usually do Liara's Illium stuff first) and yes there is no issue with continuing the story . The Lair of the Shadow Broker is going to be considered to have been done for ME3 whether you do it or not. So by all means do it.

I just finished the Horizon mission. After I got back to the Normany, I got a mission in my journal for Lair of the Shadow Broker. Though I still have a few more people to recruit. Should I do DLC first? (I know I'm asking way to many questions, I just want to make sure nothing messes up).

I'd do Liara's little side quests on Illium first and then do the DLC.

Alright, so skip the recruitment and loyalty missions for now and do the DLC?
And I don't see anything that has to do with Liara in my Journal other than the DLC. Will that "little side quest" appear when I go arrive at Illium?

Get info from Liara about Thane and Samara, then do her side missions (optional). Then talk to her about Lair of the Shadow Broker whenever you want after that.

Edit: This is just a personal preference, but I like to wait until hitting level 30, then immediately do LotSB.

Double Edit: If you ask Liara if you can help her, she will ask you to find clues about a Shadow Broker agent and hack some terminals for her.  Small stuff, only worth ~50xp each (two missions).

Wait, so I should do the recruitment missions first and THEN travel to Illium?

Two of the recruitment missions ARE on Ilium.  Talking to Liara will not automatically set you on the LotSB mission.  You have to use a dialogue option that's something like "Let's go get the Shadow Broker."

Oh alright. So let's just say that I arrive in Illum, I see Liara and I talk to her but I don't choose the DLC option right now. Will I have the chance to go do it later?

Yes, I'm pretty sure the line that starts the DLC is exactly what I listed, "Let's go get the Shadow Broker." It's Liara's other mini-quests that disappear after LotSB, not the other way around. The option to do the DLC will never vanish.

Yeah, it was actually stupid that I asked that. Otherwise, people will want their money back lol
I guess I didn't think about it cause I got the DLC for free with the PS3 version.
Anyways, so I go to Illium, do the mini side quest, complete the recruitment missions and then do the DLC?

You can do the Mission ANY time past Horizon, thus do it when you feel like it, even after the Suicide Mission. The only real change is you don't have some upgrades and money for the Suicide mission and the dialog changes some depending on if you do it before or after. All DLC can be done pretty much at anytime, even after the game is "over". Many like to do it before the SM, just for upgrades and the ability to respec your companions, but play the game as you feel like it, you will not cause issues by doing or not doing the dlc at a certain time.

Alright, thank you very much. I will do the DLC after I do the loyalty missions for Miranda and Jacob (and probably recruit the two soldiers because they are on the same planet as the DLC).

i did it after i recruited samara, thane, and tali. that way id have accumulated a fair amount of upgrades for my weapons, health, and armor because lotsb will throw A LOT of enemies at you (and youll like it). to make it more worth the money i switch my difficulty to hardcore (from normal) and had the best time. so with that said i would suggest doing it before the point of no return; youll just get the most out of the rewards at the end that way.

Ok! So I should recruit all of the soldiers you said, and then do the DLC? And should I do the loyalty missions for Miranda and Jacob before the DLC? And what about Liara's side mission?

Dude, you're overthinking this. Do it when you feel like it. You can do it at any time after Horizon, including after the suicide mission. The only things I'd make sure to do beforehand are Liara's Illium side missions, since you can't do them after LotSB. Otherwise, LotSB doesn't impact on any other missions/assignments.

You'll face a ton of shielded enemies and some Vanguards, so choose your companions accordingly.

First, I will do all Liara's mission, recruit the other soldiers, do all the loyalty missions and then I'll do LotSB.
Is that alright?
