Agree. I tend to kill him first, then try to quickly finish off any leftover Collectors before he can come back and possess them.
Can anyone give me general tips for Insanity?

I agree if you are using the widow you should use this. There is a small bug with the off-hand ammo pack where if you start a mission the extra round(s) will not show up. You have to save, then reload that save and your extra ammo will apply. Annoying, but thats what you have to do sometimes.

Bug with the heavy weapon ammo pack, doing the exact same thing.

I agree with M-chan re Harbi. If you don't have a good CC to nerf him it might be best to just take him out quickly and then move on. I probably still do that even when I don't need to out of force of habit.
My previous advice was meant to be relatively humorous, even if it is true. It is more important with high damage, low ROF weapons like the Claymore and Widow. Yes you can miss and still win, I don't hit everything, but it will make your life a lot easier.
Good fundamentals work in shooters as much as in football or basketball...
