So, I was researching Hendel Mitra and discovered that his a biotic who received training from the same facility as Kaidan. I know that most gay gamers are hoping that Kaidan turns out to be a potential romance option for a MaleShep (myself included) ... So maybe BioWare could incorporate Hendel and Kaidan into having some kind of relationship to explain Kaidan's sexuality? I'm not sure, but it's a nice thought.

DISCUSS! ;)

Yeah but we already have Rahna as his great love from Brain Camp. Who's Hendel Mitra any way?

He can just be bi. There doesn't need to be an explanation outside of "my plumbing works for dudes and dudettes".

Oh man. I look forward to that explanation.

"i'm bi now" lowest moment in Gaming history.

There has to be some explanation behind it. It would be completely confusing and unappealing if BioWare pulled the "I'm bi now" or "I'm gay now" card.

What explanation can they do though?

"you died so I experimented for awhile... and I liked it"

Huh?

Well, you could always look at it like... Kaidan felt uncomfortable expressing romantic interest in his MALE superior officer since they hadn't known each other very long in ME1 (and hello, they were both men in the military!) and figured by ME3, with the Reapers invading, he might not get another chance to express how he feels so that's why he decided to do it later rather than sooner? It's not exactly retconning. If it were retconning Kaidan would've explicitly stated that he was heterosexual in the first game but would've "changed his mind" suddenly by ME3. Beyond talking about Rahna and Liara with dude Shep he never flat out stated "I like women only." or something to that effect. Besides, he tells dude Shep on Horizon that losing him "was like losing a limb" which could be interpreted as something deeper than just bros/comrades! :bandit:

Never underestimate the lobbying power of the BSN Bi-Brigade.

Please don't start this "it's not exactly retconning because he didn't specifically state his sexuality". I find this argument laughable.

The character is a bisexual now. There is no need to argue about it anymore. Your side has obviously won. I however, don't look forward to watching these characters bumble through their new found sexuality.

I bet  it will be on youtube within three days.

Well...unless you yourself are playing a bi Shepard, you don't have to worry your little head about anything. :innocent:

Frankly I'd only do a man on man or woman on woman relationship just for the shiggs and giggs. However it would be interesting to see if Hendel Mitra and Kaiden Alenko had a history while they were being trained. Not in a romantic way but a friendship -,- just to clarify.

He didn't state his sexual orientation, did he?

It's not that hard to be a stealth bi, especially if you're like, a 1 or a 5 on the kinsey scale. And there's probably more wiggle room (heh) with the whole, you know, xenophilia thing. And the asari.

And if you don't want to see it, don't watch. If you see it, it'll only be your fault unless someone sneaks it up on you.

Oh here we go.

"Don't play it if you don't like it"
"Kill him if you don't like it"

What happened to all this initiative back when he wasn't Bi. Why didn't you folks ignore him then? Hmm.

I think it's awfully hypocritical of you guys to suggest anyone should just "ignore it" Especially since this is the same brigade that railed about his sexuality for two long years.

Don't you dare tell the original fans to ignore your tampering. That's just insulting.

One problem with Mitra will be events of Deception.

As I recall what happened in Ascension, Hendel and Gillian joined the team of quarians who travelled to faraway stars to search for another Reaper. It's logical to assume that if they will come back, they will come back together. And if some crap will happen to Gillian (who decided to avenge her father's death and cross path with Cerberus), it's likely that Hendel will be unvolved as well.

In short, it's not even known if Hendel will appear in ME3.

You're doing this unfocused raging thing. You should probably stop it.

I said he didn't state his sexual orientation. He didn't.  You don't want to think of him as anything other than a man who has sex with women, then you can. Maybe he's still a MSW. Maybe he's always been a MSMW.

What's his sexual activity/orientation matter to you if you're not seeing your gameplay affected? I mean, it's another option opening up. Not an option shutting down. I'd be annoyed if they shut out Kaidan for femSheps or Ashley for dudeSheps, but that isn't happening.

:o
Nooo he can't because he was so straight in ME1 he doesn't even need to mention it. So it would be ooc for him to be bi u know? ... :D:whistle:
