So I decided to play DA2 again but I had uninstalled it in order to clear up space on my laptop. I have a digital download version of the game which I bought from D2D and I never had problems with the game. I was able to download the DLCs and play through the game multiple times.

However, since I reinstalled the game I haven't been able to play any of my previous saves because the DLCs weren't installed. So I went ahead and reinstalled the DLCs. Now it's saying that the DLCs are unauthorized and I haven't been able to connect to the servers.

I will try to shut off my anti-virus to see if that might be causing the problem because when I first got the game and tried to validate the game with EA it wouldn't go through due to the anti-virus blocking it. Although I am also curious if there is just a problem with the servers themselves?


EDIT: Nevermind, problem solved XD Had a brain fart moment (although so did my internet connection).

i am having a similar problem.

after having formatted my pc , i moved the old dragon age 2 folder to the same spot from windows old to the regular windows folder.

Everything works fine dlcs are good, but now when i try to install mark of the assassin it says dragon age 2 is not installed.

Anyone know how to update my registry so it is recognized?
