Mention of Cousland Warden

On a side note, I romanced Leliana but broke up with her because of Anora but I got the "he is a good king". Aww man, I didn't get the "he is dear to my heart" line. Jeez
Also!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

Bodhan mentions him, Lirene mentions him, Aveline, Leliana and Alistair also do.
Her line works equally well for a King Alistair as well. I heard a Warden specific one from Lirene for my NON-king Cousland on the current gameplay I am running now. "Only Ferelden Grey Warden I know ended the Blight and saved us all." But again, that works for any origin.
I'm about to do Faith on this one (My boy did stay with Leliana after the Blight) and I'll let you know what she says for a romanced partner Warden.
Got a snappy of her line. Again, it's not Cousland specific, just a general Warden she ends the game in a romance with. But at least it is mentioned. Bodahn's line is also pretty generic just referring to the Warden as "The Hero of Ferelden". Not sure about Aveline.
The only time i saw mention of the Hero as monarch was when King Alistair has his cameo and makes his crack about "the ball and chain" and how he's not afraid of her "Just because she slew the archdemon". And when Leliana says "She makes a great queen for King Alistair.
As a ruler, Anora got pretty ignored save for one or two lines in the game.

In one of his arguments, Anders mentions the Warden being a mage (non specific for Amell/Surana), and if the Warden was a female Amell, Cullen mentions her in Act 2. (not sure if you have to flirt with him in the Mage origin or not)

Leandra and Cullen make references to an Amell warden, and a Dalish warden gets mention from the Dalish. The other origins get mostly ignored, aside from Elthina making a reference.

might want to try a gibbed save generator, then it just takes a few seconds to rig what happened in Origin and import it to DA2. That way you don't need to play origin and all associated content over and over just to see different results in DA2.
You can import your warden into DA:2?

Oh and OP:Alistair can refer to Female Warden, if you married him in DA:O. He doesn't say Cousland but he does say something about a ball and chain.
Gotta love him for that line.

I hope Bioware's Dragon Age team, in the third installment of the series, uses the import world state method that the Mass Effect team uses. It doesn't necessarily need to be a comic, either (ala ME2 on the PS3). Just give the player a way to set the world state that's more "permissive" than the three presets players had in DA2.

ball and chain is specific to cousland because she is the only one with the marriage option. anders makes that joke in awakening too. i believe for mistresses you just get a line from teagan say "you know who will be there." They are apparently trying to keep the relationship on the d/l.

I'm starting to regret choosing Anora over Leliana! At least with Leliana she talks about my Warden. I also saw that scene with Teagan and Alistair in one playthrough but wait I'm confused does Anora know about Alistair and his warden mistress?

Probably, lol. I think Anora is a waste of flesh anyway, Leli is way better. <3yesikareyes wrote...

I heard in one of the forums that even if Leliana was your mistress, the romance flag would be bugged because even awakening didn't recognize it. Confirmation anyone?

The game is now patched so you only need the romance flag which there was never any particular exporting problem with. The approval check has been removed.

I found one hidden in MotA (though it may just be wishful thinking on my part) where Teagan gives this line while chatting with my (female) Champion. My import was my canon (Neria Surana) and I did flirt with him in the chantry.

The line was different on a male Champion (with my non king Cousland import) so it may be that he IS thinking of the flirty female warden.

KK I got this line instead of the one above for my Male Hawke with a NonKing Cousland import. It may be noted that it was also an import with a drunken Alistair and Teagan says you look familiar but can't remember where he saw you (he looks at you in the Hanged Man just before following Alistair out the door). I chose "sarcastic" which is the one chosen on the female one and I got this line instead of the one about reminding him of someone else.

hehe and my modded Teagan looks MUCH better than Vanilla DA2 Teagan. Whoever did that to him should be boiled in Oil, along with the one who made Alistair AND Zevran.

I like Teagan too which is why I helped those two girls in Redcliffe to get his epilogue slide where he gets married but I just can't seem to figure out why I could never get his epilogue.
I got that familiar line too from Teagan from my game where King Cousland was imported.

I hear those cards (the romance with Teagan ones) are buggy anyway. This way it ends how I want it to end.

The most I think your Warden is ever mentioned is if you import a Dalish. Merrill and Marethari will mention you quite often.
