I didn't play a Human so I can't say anything specific but usually there's a line or two somewhere in the game. I know from reading people's posts Anders will make mention if you were mage regardless of race. And Cullen mentions the Warden if you were a Human Mage.

The most I think your Warden is ever mentioned is if you import a Dalish. Merrill and Marethari will mention you quite often.

No, Mahariel is only mentioned twice.  You're thinking of Tamlen who gets repeated mention (once the eluvian is brought into the story).

I adore Teagan, I always flirt with him but I never let him end with Kaitlyn. She's a complete slug. I much prefer her brother's card, and the card about Bella taking over the tavern and tales being told of the Warden.

I hear those cards (the romance with Teagan ones) are buggy anyway. This way it ends how I want it to end.

Yeah Bella is cool, I let her kiss my Warden and I found out she was voiced by the same voice actress that did Anora. No wonder her voice was familiar!!

Will Teagan and Arl Eamon hate The Warden if he becomes King-consort? I bet they would be pissed cause I was going along with their put "Alistair on the throne" plan and then suddenly my warden goes "Alistair doesn't want to be King... so I'll be King instead, problem?" lol

They only seem upset if you kill Alistair but even then it gets a 'non'mention aside from Eamon brushing you off as 'he's too busy to talk about the landsmeet'. If Alistair isn't sent off drunk and stays a grey warden, Eamon expresses regret that the Theirin line has ended, but appears to bear Cousland no ill will.  If Alistair walks off to be a drunk, Eamon expresses sorrow that it's come to this and mentions he will check up on the boy later.  (Obviously he never does because it's TEAGAN not Eamon who comes to Kirkwall to fetch him back home).  Unless Eamon sent Teagan there.
I've done King Cousland for a couple of playthroughs, but it was always "Have Alistair kill Loghain (he has to be unhardened) and stay a GW." He seems quite happy to do so.
In fact, his GW cameo seems much happier/freer than his King cameo. I just prefer the king one because he shows up with Teagan :D
Oh and I LOVE Bella too (sucker for redheads) and my Cousland boy got a smooch from her.  She's spunky and pretty!  And she has the HOTTEST kiss in the game!  Mika Simmons (Anora, Bella) also did Isabela in DAO as well.  And the female human "Violent" voice set.

Only twice. I could've sworn Merrill mentions Mahariel in place of Tamlen the whole game if you have a Dalish Warden, and its Tamlen who gets mentioned like twice. *shrugs* Oh well.

Most of my King Cousland playthroughs maintains Alistair as a GW because it just breaks my heart to see him walk away or die. I don't know if becoming King-consort was a selfish decision, it doesn't sound like one if Alistair is unhardened. I did one playthrough where I spared Loghain and I've got to admit, I feel sorry for the guy. I don't think he's really evil unlike Howe. Would have been cool to see Loghain have a cameo in DA2.

Hottest kiss? Why? haha! It's a good decision to change Isabela's voice actress because I'll be thinking of Anora everytime she speaks.

Yup, I would want the same thing and I'm optimistic about it since I heard something about past companions and characters being involved in DA3 during one of the PAX interviews. I'm currently reading Dragon Age: The Stolen Throne and I feel justified for sparing Loghain!

I only save Loghain when i harden Alistair and marry him to Anora. I love that guy too much to be able to sacrifice him, but both him and Loghain living is kinda what i consider my personal-canon. Even though i hate that word.

I like Loghain as a father-in -law so I sort of have two canons for my King Cousland. One where Alistair stays as a GW and Loghain dies while the other spares Loghain (I did the ritual in both).

Unhardened Alistair is VERY VERY happy not to be king.  I get the feeling 'giddy' would almost describe his reaction (though it's off camera).  Hardened Alistair would take the throne and do an admirable job he just doesn't want to.  He's only doing it because he feels he HAS to.
My Dalish rogue is my "GW Alistair" game, and in my head they run off to other places to live 'happily ever after'--till the calling at least.  He seems much happier in this capacity and Anora does an excellent job being queen after the Blight.

OH If  you marry Alistair to Anora and let Loghain live (doing the DR and all) his "Loghain" line is a bit different in his King cameo.

I heard that one of the epilogues in Awakening included Alistair running off with you even if he is King and that both of you disappeared (Correct me if I'm wrong). So I guess that cameo happened before their disappearance. I wonder how that turns out now that the King has disappearead as well (Married to Anora or not).

I think the card was a bullsh*t one. A lot of the awakenings cards were bullsh*t. My Anders card said he went back to the circle to give a lecture and then returned to the Grey Wardens ever afterward. So...epilogue cards are just 'what might have happened if the story ended there', at least that's how I look at them.

The King Alistair cameo occurs in Hawke's seventh year in Kirkwall, so it can't be related to that card, Cousland queen, Mistress or married to Anora.

Aside from Nathaniel, there was little else I really enjoyed about Awakenings.

True, I enjoyed the Witch Hunt DLC even if I did not romance Morrigan. She was a good friend to my Warden. I particularly enjoyed the cameo of Loghain and Anora but I wish Anora had more lines to say to King Cousland. Alistair's cameo was pretty cute and sweet, it would have been great to have him as a companion. I liked Nathaniel Howe too, at first I wanted him executed but he grew to be my favorite companion in Awakening at first (My male wardens are usually a bit egoistical especially from noble origins but they soften up as the game progressed).

Yea I like Morri, she's my 3rd favorite companion in Origins (even if she is a pain in the ass). My gals always end up BFF with her. I've only played WH on my Cousland Queen and she let Morrigan go.
Loghain has never lived to have a cameo in my game expansion/sequels. The one game I let him live at the Landsmeet, he died killing the AD. (it was just for the achievement & to have a drunken Alistair show up in DA2). It's the whole "Slavery" thing that gets him killed, there are some things I just can't overlook and that's my rage point trigger with him. I've only seen the Anora queen cameo a couple times, I haven't played Awakenings that much, and Alistair's with his Mistress/Wife Warden is much sweeter.

Well I guess Loghain's patriotism got the best of him but if exile was an option I would choose that over execution. I don't, maybe it's because I'm reading The Stolen Throne right now and I get some insight on his experience with the Orlesians. I still can't believe how he Cailan, the son of his best friend King Maric, just like that when Loghain and Maric were like brothers.

I only play Awakenings and Witch Hunt for my canon games because mainly Awakenings is one really really long DLC. Yeah Alistair's is sweeter but it bothers me that he and Anora share similarities with dialogue, even the speech thing if the warden dies.

I can't bring myself to any antagonistic dialogue with Morrigan or worse stab her in WH because I don't think she deceived me outrightly or anything. She did save my life!

If Exile was on the table I'd do that (I don't like killing him in front of his daughter--even if she was willing to throw him under a bus she didn't want him dead) but it isn't and neither is sending him to the tower to sit with her till the Blight is done (If Alistair is made king) so I kill him.  Limitations being what they are.  Too bad Bioware felt either his death (or Alistair's departure) was called for there.Posted Image  Personally everything after the Landsmeet in the game is just one giant Anticlimax.  I didn't have near the hate on for the archdemon as I did for the UberPatriot.

i kind of have to agree there but for a different reason. first play through was cousland and didn't like watching her parents essentially die infront of her. even if she disliked anora and loghain she didn't want to do that to someone else. shame we don't get to voice that opinion. instead alistair just lops off his head. cousland definately looks at alistair a little differently after that (but still trusts him).

At first I had Jowan killed even if he surrendered and helped me because he still had to pay for his crimes. When I spared Loghain, I felt like a hypocrite so my next play through I decided to spare them both. Alistair is a good friend and that whole killing Loghain plus his tantrum made me really think about who I should choose to rule. On the other hand, I felt that if I had a choice to spare Howe... I would most definitely not consider it. I remember during Awakenings (first run) I chose to have Nathaniel freed after he collected his family's things but couldn't stand him as my companion. I nearly executed him when he insulted me! Second playthrough I chose to keep him as a companion for the sake of having an "ideal game to import" but at the end of the DLC, he became one of my favorite companions.
