I got the EA classics version and loaded it on my i7 Quad Core laptop with Nvidia 555 1GB graphics card. Game was loading and running fine up until I installed the patch (why? why?). Anyway, now the game doesn't start when I click on the icon UNLESS I right-click on it, select Run With Graphics Processor and select my Nvidia card. The game still appears to run okay but this is kind of annoying.

Any suggestions?

Thanks but never mind. My game appears to work okay (and yes, it's a legal DVD version) despite the slightly annoying need to start with a right-click. I shouldn't have tried to patch a working game anyway. I'm not going to mess with it until - maybe - I finish my current game.

Maybe someone who's having a similar problem after patching to 1.05 will see this and be able to get going again.
