Expect spoilers for dao, daa, da2, asunder, and maybe even the stolen throne and caling...

k, so.. the circles are now at war wth the seekers&templars, which are now independant from the chantry, and the rite  is reversable, and the 1 wyne, shale, and whats her face ran into prooved that they have free wll, and could potentially oppose things.

So, I'm assumng Lelana kdnaps varric AFTER all of this, because the chantry would be crumblng AFTERWARDS due to the seeker and templars declaring independence.. But even so, what could hawke do lol?

How do you think ths will affect the future? I beleve that the demon possessed cole in the dungeons? Or perhaps it was a spirt of justice or empathy? He seemed to know damn well what he was at the end.. Was he just playing innocent to rhys? t didn't seem so.
Even so,  doubt david gader would center a book around cole and show him at the end killing the lord seeker if he planned on not having hm appear in the future?

Do you think that cole will appear in DA3? What do you think his impact will be?

I have a problem wth the fact that the archetect seems irrelevant now.. t was a HUGE problem, now its non-existant.

How do you think the story in da3 wll be handled? There are only a few possible outcomes.. 1) enforced crcles 2)mages wn 3) templars win
Do you think the story will center around that? If so, somebody has to win.. Will the MC impact that? Will we personally choose?
It seems as though that would be hard to write due to da4.. Do you think that boware will just decide which clan wns the war than make your MC another hawke in da3 that doesn't really do much?

I think it would be cool as hell to see the hero of fereldan and leliana reunite in this conflct in da3, and have the warden involved in it, even if it is jut in a heresay way and you never SEE him

I don't do speculation, but this one is easy.

Regardless of how you handle the end decision, you are still a *huge* wild card that tips the balance in one sides favor in a massive way. You gain respect and you demonstrate your power. Hawke was there at the very start of the tensions and pushed things along.

My guess is that at the beginning of DA3 there is an impasse regarding the mages and templars. The mages have their main base at Andoral's Reach which their enemies have realised would be very difficult to take in a full frontal attack but at the same time they cannot easily leave in any numbers without being attacked. This leaves open the possibility of reaching some sort of agreement with them over a truce (why Cassandra was seeking a pro-mage Hawke to act as intermediary).

The templars have possibly laid seige to the mage base or at least keeping a watch on it. Elsewhere they are engaged in hunting down other mages who have left the Circles. They are at present without a leader with the strength and frightening charisma of Lambert, This also leaves open the possibility of an agreement to bring them back under chantry control if a suitable representative can be found to put the case to them (why Cassandra was looking for a pro-templar Hawke).

Orlais will still be in the middle of its civil war. Ferelden may be using the opportunity to build up its strength following the Blight without having to constantly watch their borders. Kirkwall may be largely defenseless if the majority of its standing templar army has removed itself from the city. Sebastian may or may not have got around to retaking Starkhaven. The Qunari may or may not use this opportunity to undertake a major invasion.

The Architect was not mentioned in the latest novel but that doesn't make him irrelevant. If anything, the fact that we hear nothing of either him or Corypheus, might suggest that they are going to be very important to the next instalment of the story. In DA2 we encounter the Grey Wardens more than once in the area claiming to be engaged on very important business, yet Anders claimed it was a long way from the nearest known Grey Warden outpost (Corypheus' prison being a secret). They were said to be investigating the ancient thaig discovered by Hawke but that may not have been the only reason they were around. I think you may safely assume that Corypheus did body jump into whichever grey warden was present when you struck him down. This could have serious repercussions for the grey wardens since effectively an enemy has infiltrated their ranks.

So my guess is that the mage/templar conflict will not be the main focus of the next game but we will return to the format of a major threat (either Qunari or intelligent darkspawn or possibly Flemeth) which will require people to put aside their differences and work together in order to survive. Step forward new hero. Both the Warden and Hawke will make cameo appearances because one of the tasks will probably be to discover what has happened to them.

I would also suggest that nothing that has gone before, particularly with regard to the operation of magic, should be regarded as known and unchangeable. This is hinted at by the fact that at the end of the book Rhys actually says that they should put aside previous assumptions about magic, tranquility and demons - in other words so should we.
