First of all......
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!:wizard:
Hope you're all having fun out there!!:)

Okay...... now onto my problem.
When someone is able to spare some time, please can they give me a hand with something please?

I'm having a problem with clashing gates in winter tilesets. :(

I downloaded a tileset from N.W. Vault called :
Winter CFR Regular hills

I have created an area with it. But it clashes with the original Bioware and CEP Winter Tilesets and causes a missing gate error, making it look like -
THIS!:(

I know there is a 2da file I need to edit somewhere. But I cannot work out which one it is.

I am using this Hak with the new CEP 2.4.
I had thought it was the "generic doors" 2da I needed to edit since this file is in this hak and
"cep2_add_doors.hak" (from CEP 2.4)
But my attempts have failed.:(

Is there anyone who would know, or be able to give a little time to have a look at these haks and tell me which 2da files I need to edit please? It would be of great help to me.B)

Hi.

Thank you for your helpful reply.

I'm still having a problem with this!:(

There is no "doortypes 2da" in either of the CEP 2.4 hak files.
I had a look through, opening the relevant haks with the Utils program in my NwN folder.
The only file similar to "doortypes 2da" is "doors 2da"
I presume "doors 2da" is the file I have take out and edit.
But the thing is, I have completely lost which Hak file of the CEP 2.4 it's in.:(

I ended up editing "doortypes 2da" from the .rar file, "2dasource.zip" in my NwN folder.
This has fixed the issue in the Bioware winter tileset with gates/doors.
But it has now caused an issue in the "Winter CFR Regular Hills" tileset I linked to in my first post, and doors/gates are missing there instead.:( (well not exactly MISSING... per se. They just look very odd instead)

I think I need to go back and edit "doors 2da" from one of the CEP 2.4 hak files.
But I have completely lost it and cannot find which hak file it's in.:(

Please can you (or anyone out there) locate, and tell me which hak file, the "doors 2da" is in please?
B)

Warning This may take a long time to complete.

If you open up your module.
Select Module Propteries from the Edit menu.
Select the Custom Content tab in the dialog window that come up.
Click the 'Check for Conflicts..." button
In the new dialog window click the 'Report Resources and Conflicts...' button.

After it scans through the Custom content. You should be able to find the 2da in the Overriden Standard Resources window, Along with what hak it is in.

If it is in more then one hak/Override. yo will be able to find all of the haks it is in in the Conflicting Resources windpw.

I'm sorry, but this reply just didn't help me find what I was looking for at all!!:(:(
I was able to follow your instructions perfectly well, but I just couldn't find the .2da I was looking for.:(:(

A few days ago, I was certain that I spotted a 2da called "doors.2da" in one of the CEP 2.4 Haks.
But then later on, I'd been searchng and searching and SEARCHING..... back through the haks again to look for this 2da. But now I have completely lost it, and don't believe that it is....in ANY of the CEP 2.4 haks at all.:(:(

I don't even know if I've missed something somewhere, as I have been searching as hard as I can..... high and low.... to absolutely NO AVAIL!!:(:(

Is there anyone out there who can find this 2da for me please??

I've searched high and low as I said.... and cannot find the appropriate 2da that matches the "doortypes .2da" in the WinterCFR Regular Hills tileset hak, and STILL... cannot fix my problem with doors clashing in the tilesets!
:(:(:(:(

<speaking from behind a fence...>

I am blocked from the vault and imageshack here, and so cannot grab the WinterCFR hak or see the pics you posted. Hence, I will have to look at the problem later, if someone doesn't beat me to it.

However, I *can* say that there is neither door.2da nor doortypes.2da in the CEP 2.4 (at least, not in mine).

So you may stop looking for them, if you like :-)

Weird... so how are those tileset specific doors in CEP identified?

genericdoors.2da apparently does the trick. Compare:

I may have misspoken, but "tileset specific doors" was my assumption based on what the original poster is talking about? MissJaded - you are talking about a tileset specific door yes?

Thank you for the helpful replies guys.

After editing the "doortypes 2da" in the CFR Regular Hills Hak, it now presents an issue with tileset specific doors in that tileset.

I took a couple of screenshots just to show you.

Winter Doors 1
Winter Doors 2

Those are what I referred to in my original post.:)

Having confirmed there is no "doors 2da" in either of the CEP 2.4 haks, would anyone have an idea of how to fix this issue at all?

I'll see if it's possible also, to contact the person who made the CFR Regular Hills tileset to see if they know anything.

Edit : Seems this tileset was made by - Vilance D'Asari
But there is no author link in the top part where the title is e.t.c.
So there's no way to contact him.:(

Never mind. *sigh*

I think I tried it with "generic doors 2da" and it didn't seem to work out. :-/
Thanks for the reply though Rolo.;)
