Did you know it's impossible to rate a thread 1 star?
Try it on a thread with no rating. It won't stick. The lowest that will register is 2 stars.

Are we to believe this is a magic pistol?
Don't forget to paint the "∞" for infinite ammo.

I knew I was missing a key element there. Thanks =)
And also... Oh, pre-order cancellation posts are ALREADY around. BSN norm achieved.

Seems so.
I'd say - it doesn't matter if Anderson gives Shepard an outdated pistol. I mean, how many GIs still use the M1911 as their sidearm?
Riiiight ... it's still in use, despite the fact it's outdated and no longer a standard issue. That weapon has fans and it's still reliable, it doesn't use some kind of fancy ammunition you can't get these days - and it still can kill people.
So why shouldn't have Anderson an outdated pistol because he likes it?

Because then the OP wouldn't have something solid to complain about.
At least people had a pretty legit reason to bit*h about the breather masks, but this is just sad.

But seeing as he did find it, it is interesting, although its probably another case of "Game lore versus Game mechanics," again; The Predator is a low level weapon, perfect for a starting level, which is probably why they used it.
Is it odd that a military man is giving another military man a non-military weapon, despite being on a military base? Sure, is it thread worthy? Not really.

Who cares about continuity and lore consistency? We just want to shot things and blow them up pew pew! Thats what the bioware marketing director says, so he has to be right!

I wager that his mention is similar to a Freudean slip. You actually hide a very passionate love for the guy. Your hormones go crazy everytime he presses his awesome button. You have a seizure upon witnessing him in a Wrex costume. "Pew pew" is actually a sexual innuendo. There's no reason to deny it, be yourself, cut the chains of social taboos!
His wife can't be very happy about the situation.
