Hello everyone,

I like most players have experienced many trials and tribulations with gameplay.
This game in particular has been...most interesting.

I went through the forums many a time for different reasons, and have found a fix for some issues I saw/was also having.

To begin, my Saumsung R580 was unable to install DA:O Ultimate Edition. Contacting support was easy enough, as was following the instructions they gave me. However, the same issue arose - install would freeze on the core data.
Luckily, I have another laptop I got for X-Mas - A Dell.

The Dell was capable of installing the game, as well as playing it (though it may be the better computer, the Graphics Card did not meet the minimum requirements).

I found a way around the installation issue with my Samsung R580; it will only work if you have a GB drive, OR an external hard drive.

To put it simply, install the game to another computer - it doesn't matter if it meets the requirements, just be sure it installs.Copy and paste the data onto the stick (or drive) and paste that same data onto the computer you wish to play your game on (drive would be faster, took me hours with my stick).
Make sure that the files and folders are going in the same location (It is alright if it is on another drive than C: [mine are elsewhere]) just be sure that they match the ones on the computer you installed the game too prior to the move (In my case, my Dell).
The next step is to check your configuration (this is accessible through the main game menu before you press play). Check the 'Game' Tab, and see if your Registry key is listed.

If not, proceed to the following steps:
Go here: http://social.biowar...page/da-patches
Download the latest patch, once finished your key should be in the Game tab, and your game should be in perfect working order =)
This will re-insert the Registry Key.

Note: This patch will also fix the DLC Accessibility issues you
were having, IF you also copied and pasted them over from the first
computer.

This means you would have had to register online, and used your code to get your DLC (it also means you need the internet to log in to access it via the Main Menu (Logging in).

The reason they are accessible without being logged in is beyond my knowledge. I was having the Internet connection issue, and when I installed the latest patch all my DLC was accessible (I still cannot log back in however, that issue is still there).

Now, I have a question for all you wonderful gamers out there:
I attempted to download and install the Toolset (worked fine on my dell) on my Samsung. Didn't work, and configuring did not help. I tried the manual way, and everything else I could find via the Forums (The Toolset never opened for me on my Samsung).

Somewhere between all this, my save games became corrupted and I have (sadly) had to uninstall everything;
I now have to re-copy and paste all the game info from my Dell, to my Samsung.

My question is this: How can I be sure I removed all the items relating to the Toolset?
And:
How can I remove all the Microsoft SQL Server folder items? Whenever I try, they tell me the are in use by the laptop (But are not listed in my Task Manager under processes).
I deleted most of the file, but some items are still left.

Any information that anyone could give me would be most helpful, thank you.

You have more problems and issues than can be handled in a forum, at least not all at once. You say you looked all around the site, but I see zero hints that you paid one iota of attention here:

I searched up the specific issues I was having. Unfortunately the information and fixes I found did not work, so I took the time to find my own solutions.
I wasn't sure if it was better to just compile all this information into one post or more, but it would seem apparent it was not.
I'll know that for next time, should I need assistance. It would be best to keep each issue to it's specific set place.

At least, until direct inter-relationships are indicated, probably.

Meanwhile, in order to better assist our fellow gamers, we follow some standard procedures to begin the collection of diagnostic information, which you chose not to go along with.  If there is a next time, it will help us to help you if you will choose to do it our way?

Agreed, and thank you for being patient with me. I presume it must be frustrating having new people make posts like mine, who do not know exactly what they are doing.

Actually, all you would have to do is scan a few. When you say you didn't know what you were quite doing, you were miles out in front of what we see most often, really. You at least were already trying, even before finding us.

We see this sort of thing far more often, for a fact:

I would think it would be simple to know the basics when reporting, not to say I am any better.

Researching your issue is the first thing, educate yourself, and try your best to solve it on your own. If through what knowledge you gain you cannot fix the issue, then it is best to seek help/advice. Or at least that's the road I travel when attempting such feats.

Though I must say, that post is quite lacking in both information and proper grammar/English (though, that's just me being anal).

So, and I am asking as I just want to get this perfectly straight.
I have read the link you sent me, and from what I have gathered I understand what I need to include to make a proper report.
Now, the one thing I was unsure of was this:
If there is a forum already made about my specific issue (no matter how old it may be) Do I post my inquiries there? Or should I create a new topic?

We try not to allow ourselves the luxury of letting our schoolteachers slip out of our subconscious with the mildness of that member's departure from good writing. I taught college, and many of my students were hardly better in the written English they commanded back then.

I just tried to outline some ideas about archives versus new messages today. When the archive is really old (over about six-eight months), and had no conclusion reached in it, consider it a dead end, and leave it happily buried. Whether it helped you or not, don't add a comment to threads from the cemetary (dead, buried, decayed).

If you saw many dozens of answers, (in a page of Google hits, let's say), and the only one you looked at had no conclusion, do not assume all the rest were equally valueless, and add any comment to a thread that didn't help you at all. Look at a few more. It doesn't take very long at all.

Then, if all you saw seemed inconclusive, and there's a thread with a good description in it that may simplify writing one of your own, the only remaining block to "borrowing" the thread to add to it, is whether you found a quite new one, only a day or two, or less, since it was started. Leave those alone also (let the "owner" wrap up the conclusion, or not, on his / her own, or give it another few days to feel fairly sure he or she isn't going to return to it at all).

There haven't been very many people offering answers here in this particular forum at any one time since relatively shortly after it was released, which was part of why we needed some standard to point at. Raen's is the newest of three. The first wasn't bad, the second was terrible, Raen's owes a lot to Pacifien's version of a similar guide in the ME-2 tech forum.

Very true, I personally find I am easily irritated by the way texting has influenced the way people write/type. Though perhaps this is due to the way I was taught about the English Language, where articulation and spelling are key.

Wonderful, thank you so much for taking the time to educate one more mind. This information will help me create adequate inquiries/responses, and not take up unnecessary space.

I am pleased that people like you amongst the others do take the time to look around and answer questions (mindless or not). It is most helpful, and I hope others take the time to let you all know how appreciated it is.
Especially since it would seem most of you are doing it without any compensation besides that of helping others (which is also very kind).

I will continue to search through the archives for information that matches my issues before I post again so heedlessly.
If I have any other pertinent questions later, I will message you promptly.
