Theres a big countdown clock on the DAO pages that shows when the pre-load will be available, and its set to Pacific time... I have to wait until 1PM my time

Not that it matters. You're going to get at least 24 hours to have your download running, and unless you're going at 56k speeds I think anyone will be good. I will only be going at 50kb-170kb/s, and I'll still make the deadline with time to spare.

Hmm... well, in my defense I will say that the clock was up last night

Managed to talk to someone at D2D - the clock was taken down because they are prepping the pre-loading stuff now.

At least they had a clock, AFAIK steam hasn't even indicated that they're going to pre-load, even given that Bioware reps have said so.

Yeah, I haven't seen a single word on Steam about the pre-load; normally they would have something put up by now. That said, give em till around Noon Pacific Time - thats when they tend to let these things start.

Not just this game - there is an ever increasing lack of patience across the net in general. After the game is released we will see an influx of 'this game is crappy' followed by 'this game is broken' followed by 'i want a patch now' posts. All within the span of a few days (or hours in some cases).

I hate Daylight Savings Time.  We've only had it in Indiana for the past 4 years or so... I don't think I'll ever get used to it.
