I recently bought DAO:UE on steam, redeemed the DLC key on my account and downloaded all the DLC.

I launch the game to discover that I'm STILL not authorized and that drive C (SSD) is now full. I check that and all the DLC was installed on that drive by DAupdater. I had to copy it to drive G, which is my main storage drive (which has DA Ultimate installed inside the Steam directory) with about 460GB free.

First, how can I set DAupdater to default to something OTHER than drive C? And what's with the DLC that I seem to not be able to authorize.

Bumped because I would like some answers..

This is proof that I am authorized to use the DLC and that I have downloaded it.. DAupdater is a shoddy mess in and of itself, with errors on half of the DLC that I wanted to install.. but whatever.

And a screenshot of the issue itself.

Edit: removed link.

The game is from Steam, so it's patched to 1.05.

Basic specs are a start, but more info would be help full. Please see the "Read me first" sticky for more guidelines. My sig contains most of the useful stickies.

Unfortunately you may need to have a good read, because ver 1.05 solves many of the known DLC problems; especially for Ultimate Edition users.

The Ultimate Edition installs the entire game (Origins, Awakening, all DLC) in two areas:

1) The main program directory-- usually Programs (x86)/Dragon Age... you can choose to install this someplace else (I assume Steam will let you do that, too, but I use EADM/Origin).

2) A Bioware subfolder of your Windows "My Document" directory.

ALL of the DLC is downloaded with the Ultimate Edition... there is no need to download the files again (if that's what you've done).  If you're having authorization issues, as Shins suggests, the Solutions Roundup is a good place to start.

Thank you for your answers, I read all the articles relating to the authorization issues and still didn't help.

Specs again: i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm136/MethosTR/SpecsDA.jpg

Windows 7 Home x64
Nvidia driver 285.79.

Anyways, the game is current (1.05) and according to the screenshots I've posted above, the DLC is on my computer and everything, just not authorized. The game is in the Steam directory on drive G (which is the 2TB drive).

Short answer, dump the Steam version.  Contact EA customer Service (support.ea.com) and explain that you want to obtain the EA "Origin Store" digital download.  They'll walk you through the process.

Excellent suggestion.  I haven't used the new version of EA's Digital Download client (confusingly called "Origin"), but it should allow you to install the game on something other than your system drive.  Just make sure you set it up to download and save installation files elsewhere BEFORE installing.

I refuse to use Origin, I'll just play it without the DLC instead I guess.

Thanks anyways.

I am about to have a rage/fit myself.
I had a weak moment, thinking back to the old days where I played DAO.
Realizing there were a Ultimate Edition, I bought it (Steam). Would be cool with all those DLC's. Right.
Fat Chance.
I do get past that authorisation failure... ...The DLC's are downloaded, extracted, but ends by giving me the message: Installation Failed.
I have for days tried out E V E R Y T H I N G...-I think, at least.
I do not any longer have the strength to continue.
EA and Bioware. Kiss my... ...I will not be in line to buy Mass Effect 3, or any other title from You guys. This BS has been pushed too far.

I doubt it.  Of course, it is hard to say definatively given the little information you've supplied.

Look, the bottom line is that this is a forum run by gamers (myself included) to help other gamers.  The dev's haven't posted here in months.  If you're really serious about boycotting Bioware products, go to help.ea.com and chat with them.  Or better yet, go complain to Steam.
