I really don't understand this attitude: "Hey Bioware, I don't want too much original content in your new game. Re-use this old material I can listen to anytime I want."

I don't buy computer games for original music.  I just want something pleasant to listen to.

(How about Also Spach Zarathustra?)

Well, if that's the case, just turn off the music in the options and listen to whatever it is you find pleasant.

For me the music is totally connected to my memory of the experience.  So it's a great way for the composers (or devs - whoever decides on this stuff) to bring back an emotion I felt earlier in ME1 or 2.  Like how they used the main menu music from ME1, when the VS/Liara showed up.  It takes you right back to when you first met that character.  So I guess, what I'm trying to say in way too many words is that re-using the old themes serves a very really purpose to me and I appreciate those little musical cameos.

But that's what they should be cameos, not the entire content of the game's soundtrack.

Rather a hassle for just going through the menus.  And for the rest of the game, it needs to be dramatically appropriate as well as pleasant, though original still doesn't matter as long as you avoid inappropriate associations.

Do you remember the music that played in the Main Menu in Mass Effect? This song still plays in my head every time I look at the night sky, I lovet it. I'd very much like to have this song back in ME3, preferably in the Main Menu.

What do you think?

Here's the song

My attitude is new game, new music. Having said that I've loved the music of both Mass Effect 1 and 2. Keep doing new things, keep the franchise fresh is my point of view. Yes I love that tune a lot.

Definitely loved Lost Generation. Planet Earth, should have been in Dragon Age: Origin's end credits.

I know, it sounds very similiar to the actual Mass Effect theme

Then I won't be able to play the game (2001 is one of my absolute favourite films of all time and if I had a favourite it would be 2001) I would wait for it to finish playing then go watch the film again
