Hello im thinking of starting the bg again and was wandering if it is able to solo or duo the game from the start to the end???

There have been loads of people who have soloed BG1. The complete trilogy is much rarer, but there have been a fair number of successful attempts. If you look through the BG2 no-reload thread you will see a list of some of these. If you don't try it no-reload it would obviously be far easier.

Duo would obviously be easier as you can then have a Ranger/Cleric and a mage/thief and you have covered everything that might be needed. Solo is also possible as has been said. Particularly in BG2 I prefer having the other party members, but each to his/her taste.

I would make either a Fighter/Mage/Thief, so you have all your needs covered or a Sorcerer for his ability to be always prepared and not requiring spending money or tracking down scrolls.
