And who's fault is this? If you are going into a movie, read a book, or see a play with an idea of how the entire thing is going to be you will not be very entertained. In the end its really your fault.Dave of Canada wrote...
Agree to disagree then, I just don't see how things like the Rachni, Cerberus and such are going to be fixed simply because it's being shown to me with fanciful music and cutscenes.
Where did people get the crazy idea...

Fixed? How would they be fixed in any way? Ever consider there is reasoning that we don't see...and was possibly not in the script?
...I mean was it ever confirmed that was the whole shebang?

Let me clarify: it is when nearly everything you post is just a slight variation of the same stock lecture.

Cutting corners and Paragon fan wanking were pretty clear in the script.

A little bit of a negative skew you've got there. The OP's question as to why people are reacting like they have been has been answered, so this thread has been reduced to people who have read the script pronouncing that they believe that it is gospel and completely representative of the final product.
People are criticising the content found within the leaked script that is likely to be in the final product. You can continue to deny it if you want but that hardly makes you the reasonable one.
Never said you had to.i do not give a flying fig what you do/don't believe.
Never said you were. That comment was directed at the people dismissing all criticisms against. However, the fact that I don't want to jump on your bandwagon because I have no desire to experience spoilers doesn't mean I'm treating it as a sacred text.
Not a sacred text but a likely representation of the product that's to be released in 2 months. You, however, seem to be doing that.
Not if they don't dismiss the criticisms of the people who have actually read the scriptMe? I know almost nothing in that script, and I'm trying to keep it that way, thanks. Is there a problem with those of us who prefer a wait-and-see approach?

So you want to focus on the little nuances instead of the big picture and overall effect? I see. Good luck with anything in life.

You can't really call it "fan wanking" when fans aren't the ones writing stuff.

I don't care about spoilers. Actually, no. That's a lie. I do care, I just spoiled Mass Effect 3 because I was worried at the direction they'd take. It's my fault to be disappointed with how they handled the game because... I found out if I was going to be disappointed?

Seeing as how a lot of bad fan wanks were made canon i beg to differ on that.

Personally I think the Renegade path was more justifiable in ME1 with options/choices that actually were made and looked reasonable. In ME2 Renegade comes off as little more than a bully most of the time. Its like the Renegade of ME1 became the neutral of ME2.Seboist wrote...

I already cancelled my pre-order of the CE and I'm enjoying discussing it too much to stop(much like Uwe Boll's "films").

Cancelled my preorder, I'm here because I'm disappointed as somebody who played the first one above twenty times and the second one well onto ten. One musn't be positive to be allowed to post on these boards.

Yes, it is your fault. You chose to read it. You are also choosing to ASSUME what the final contents will be with an incomplete product. And you are assuming how the game is being handled before the actual release. See here is the thing nothing that you script supporters have said is beyond the realm of assumption since you can't possibly know at this point in time how the final product will be to its fullest extent.Dave of Canada wrote...

I knew all of the plot of Star Wars Episode 3 before it was out, was skeptical and wasn't sure if it would be good when I saw it. I saw it, and actually really enjoyed it. Maybe we can hope the same happens for these guys and ME3 lol.

I can't recall the exact lines and phrases from ME1. I apologize but there are very little situations in ME1 that are equal to the bullying/random excuse to kill someone like pushing the merc out of the window in ME2 Thane's recruitment mission. If you give me time I can gladly send you the lines/phrases in a pm since this is already going off-topic.GodWood wrote...
