The British Board of Film classification have today rated BioWare’s Mass Effect 3

Mass Effect 3 will release with no edits and has been issued a “15″ rating due to it’s strong language and infrequent strong violence.
Additionally, the BBFC listing reveals that the game will feature 82 minutes of cut-scenes.

Mass Effect 3 is available on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC March 9th.

Interesting. How many minutes of cutscenes did ME1 and ME2 have?

Would that be T or M by the ESRB?

T is 13+, but M is 17+. Safe to say, likely M.

15+ just sort of sits between the 2.

I am waiting for the PEGI rating.
Most of Europe is under this unified rating system, and both ME1/2 were 18.

Edit: infrequent strong violence. Infrequent? For an all out war?

ESRB is american, right? It will definitely be rated M.

Mass Effect 2 was 15+ too, while Mass Effect 1 was 12+.

And most likely will. When it comes to PEGI think of it this way. You can kill a guy its 16+ if theirs any mature sexuality its 18+

Now lets not talk about the "nanny state" Australia.

No sexual themes warning in this one? Someone here will probably start freaking out about that's not on the warnings.

I hope the romance scenes aren't even more covered up, hence the lower rating.

Sorry everyone, looks like no nudity in ME3. You'll all have to do without turian penis after all.

Hey, I expect something in the vein of ME2.

Fox News is so scary, right Bioware?

Cutscenes are one of my biggest pet peaves about gaming, including ME's. It just strikes me as a lazy way of telling a story in a game. Plenty of great games have told great stories without constant reliance on cutscenes. I hope ME3 won't be simply: combat-cutscene-combat-cutscene (rinse and repeat)...

Well, that sounds rather good. Mass Effect 2 is listed with 60m 53s of submitted runtime by the BBFC. So it would actually be an improvement, good. ;)

I won't be losing sleep over the absence of ME1 style sex scenes.

Alas, you can't actually read Fornax in-game.
