82 minutes of cutscenes? 82 minutes of awesome.
Happy as a panda over here.
Why? Watching a cutscene is not gaming. Its cinema. I maintain my argument that cutscenes are an inferior way to tell a story in a game-setting. They are inevitable, but it seems that BW has increasingly invoked their use through the years. You're not buying ME3 for an interactive movie, are you???
That's exactly how I've thought of Mass Effect since the beginning, especially with the advertising as a "cinematic trilogy". The greater emphasis on camera angles and visual detail was a huge indicator that it was supposed to be more movie-esque than previous Bioware efforts.
I think cut-scenes are lazy when used too much, especially during interactive story-telling, but I have nothing against short segments (Battle of the Citadel, Saren and Benezia, etc). It may break away from my character's perspective, but I think it's well worth the trade off, especially when it provides interesting scenarios.

Cutscenes are one of my biggest pet peaves about gaming, including ME's. It just strikes me as a lazy way of telling a story in a game. Plenty of great games have told great stories without constant reliance on cutscenes. I hope ME3 won't be simply: combat-cutscene-combat-cutscene (rinse and repeat)...
You mean like Dragon Age 2?

Do 82 minutes include interactive dialogue or not?
Hopefully. It better not be 82 minutes of automatic dialogue.

Why hello there Final Effect.
ME1 and 2 had roughly the same amount, I believe.

Also for comparison sake DA2 had 100 minutes of cutscenes (which personally speaking was way too much).

FYI, the BBFC only includes what gave the film/game the rating in the consumer advice. It may have sex scenes that would rate that game 12s but because the game is 15s its redundant to mention them in the consumer advice. A more comprehensive detail of the games contents will be available in the ECI for the game after 9th March.
And following that line of though, it's worth noting that the ME1 scenes only rated the game a 12.

I don't demand nudity or anything, but I like when there are elements of the game that keep it Rated-M and not totally a kid's game. I just don't want ME to become too clean like that.
Vega is too much of a foul mouth for that to happen.

Don't take this the wrong way but from what I'm getting from this post (I could be wrong) is that you just would like a sex scene in the game to keep away the kids? This game already has a crap load of violence and many moral choices that basically makes it mature. Both ME games were rated mature anyway.

They only take finished products to rate and 'suggest' alterations to.

How has the game been rated by the BBFC if according to recent Twitter posts by the Bioware staff the game hasn't been finished?
Content-wise, the game is pretty much finished. They're mostly bug-squashing at this point. In any case, it's a preliminary rating based on the cutscenes. The full classification won't be available until the end of February.

Good point iOnly. What is a cutscene?
As for the 5% part, it seems like very little, however I would assume (yes, I know), that the cutscenes convey important parts (if not the majority) of the storyline. Thus, the bulk of the STORY is being told through cinema, not in game experiences (see Zelda SS, Portal II, Bioshock and others I'm sure)!
That's my grievance. If BW is known for telling a story, that is the most important part of ME3 in many people's eyes. Cutscenes, for lack of better word, can be labelled the lazy way of accomplishing that. I recognize, though, that cutscenes are an industry standard. I'm relunctantly accepting.
Huh? Much of the story is conveyed through dialogue, which is done through the conversation system. That is a game experience.
