Shepard had enough cyborg parts installed to raise him/her from the dead (and restore them to better than they were predeath seeing as Shepard has much higher toxin resistance and super human strength following the process) after suffocating and falling onto the surface of a planet from orbit. The human lifespan may no longer apply. Shepard could wind up outliving Liara, for all we know.

Actually... thats not half bad.  I mean, you have to be like... what... at least 60 robot.   How long does a geth last?

You think Liara might cheat on you or something?

It could be that one time with that tramp, who Shepard never talked to again. I never said it would be Shepard and Liara's child, after all...

Though in that case, it might just be Liara's daughter.

()

"You intrigue me Shepard...."

"Moooooom!" D:

And suddenly the mother teaching the daughter about sex goes .

Statistically women live longer than men anyways... so, who cares?

True but 10 and 800 years are a big difference.  I actually prefer to go first but not when the other person still has 80% of their life left!

Then again, it's "her choice", so to speak.
Some asari mates with salarians, those live what? like 40 human years?
I'd say humans are quite better.

I think there's a certain romance to it, actually. It's a little bit Arwen and Aragorn. When it comes down to it, Shepard will be closer to immortal than most humans get, living on in Liara's memory as her first real love. It's poignant, but definitely romantic.

Imagine Liara being in Samara's position someday, but with happy memories instead of sad ones. Shepard will die, but will always be in her heart. I think it's kind of beautiful that she and other asari are willing to put aside future loss and just *be*, just *love* someone outside their own species even through their last days as a withered old person. Pretty unselfish when you think about it.

That said, I find Matriarch Aethyta and Samara and Aria to be somewhat more appealing on a practical basis. Meeting an asari in the middle or end of their lifetime puts things on a more even footing, and all that wisdom and experience is just so intriguing.

Somehow I don't really care about that issue.

Shepard might die at the age of 120 or so ... (if not earlier on the battlefield) which still means approx 90 years of happiness for him/her and Liara if romanced. That's good enough for me. Liara might morn over Shepard's death for a while but one day she'll move on and remembers him/her as her first love.

My Shepard has that in mind and therefore keeps himself away from Liara. He likes her but don't wanna get her in that position.

I guess I've never understood why limiting yourself for a dead person is romantic.

Yeah I wouldn't say the 90's is how old h/she is suppose to live to. Joker (the pilot of the Normandy) has stated that he is in this early 100s (which I totally doubt it because that could have been a joke :kissing: ), and if you put that age to our age equivalent or whatever, he is in his early 40s.

Why is this important ? You never know how long the person will really live you love - or ypurself. Thats no reason not to love, just every moment. If the diff-erence is 10, 50 oder 800 years....

In in this story - we dont know all about the fate of Shepard or Liara later.

For my fem Shep Liara was the first and only choice :-) and will it be in ME3 and in the end.

Did you really think I was serious? Because I wasent. That relationship/marriage was obviously phoney in my eyes.

Simple fix. When you're on your death bed, shoot Liara in the head. Now you'll both be dead and you won't need to worry about her screwing around with other guys.

I don't think it's weird, because in Lost Odyssey you are also 1000 years old (from a curse or whatever), and Kaim Argonar (main character) had multiple wives and children. So if I was in that situation (whether it be real life or not) I would endure it if I loved that person: Liara.

So no, I'm not weird out at all.

Not at all, as I have no troubles understanding that all characters, races, and racial characteristics within the game are purely fictional.

I think the Lazarus project makes Shepard's lifespan waaaay longer. I may be remembering this wrong but doesn't Miranda mention that because of her alterations she will live half again as long as the average human? Shepard has had MUCH more work done on him/her, so if Miranda can live a lifespan and a half, how long can Shepard go?

When you keep this in mind, it's sadder to romance a normal human like Ashley because Shep (assuming they aren't offed by unnatural causes) will probably far outlive them!

Dunno. I don't think they altered Shepard's genes or something. Lazarus brought Shepard back the way s/he was before his/her death. The only exception are some implants necessary for reviving Shepard. It also looks as if some of those implants improve Shepard's tolerance for poison.

So I asume Shepard won't live much longer than an ordinary human.
