I think Shepard is going to outlive most of his human companions, anyway.

He's part machine, after all.

Worried? Concerned? If anything you should be happy, because Liara knows this. She is very aware of the lifespan differences and because of this, she's going to "enjoy" of Shep every moment she can.

Don't be heretical, GodWood.

When Shepard dies, Liara will either die of a broken heart and soon rejoin Shepard forever.

OR

Liara will become a chaste widow who will forever pine after her first, last, and truest love for another eight hundred years until she dies, dreaming of Shepard returning and taking her away in her last moments.

Don't give them ideas!

Remember what happened when someone joked about Joker and EDI?

How about this:

Liara will not take any lovers until, two hundred years later, Shepard's long-lost great grandchild comes of age to save the galaxy.

At which point Liara will be a love interest.

No one in his or her right mind would bang his or her own great grandma! That's incest to the next level, bro!

I think the Lazarus project makes Shepard's lifespan waaaay longer. I may be remembering this wrong but doesn't Miranda mention that because of her alterations she will live half again as long as the average human? Shepard has had MUCH more work done on him/her, so if Miranda can live a lifespan and a half, how long can Shepard go?

When you keep this in mind, it's sadder to romance a normal human like Ashley because Shep (assuming they aren't offed by unnatural causes) will probably far outlive them!

Dunno. I don't think they altered Shepard's genes or something. Lazarus brought Shepard back the way s/he was before his/her death. The only exception are some implants necessary for reviving Shepard. It also looks as if some of those implants improve Shepard's tolerance for poison.

So I asume Shepard won't live much longer than an ordinary human.

they didn't do a run full set tests after he/her woke because mech attack thing so they did a field test on him so we can't give him/her max lifespan on til he/she go thur a full set of tests at a the best Alliance medic reseach center. or bioware tell us how long he/she will live.

Wouldn't Shepard's descendant be an asari, though? Asari don't go through generations that fast.

Plus Liara totally stole Shep's DNA when she melded with him in ME1.

She's gonna try to chain him using baby momma drama! :o

Well if you are like my Renegades, then you wouldnt give a damn about condoms in the first place.

If you are like my Paragades, then you wouldnt be chasing a new tail when you are feeling hopeful of getting back with the woman that went through hell to bring ya back to life.

What if she never 're-marries' or sleeps with anyone else after Shepard dies?

Think the Liaramancers would like that.

I don't think it's reasonable to expect her to remain chaste for 700+ years.

A girl has her needs and we all know that Asari have no standards to speak of.

So who's your femshep going to find after she's forced to murder TIM?  Just curious.

She'd kill herself before she'd do that.

Well, I suppose the game will give you one hard choice then.Image IPB

Ignoring the fact that this is a purely fictional videogame, no. Because Shep will get to nail a hot babelien who'll stay hot for the rest of their life, with the advanced years they may recieve from the Lazarus project.

Don't worry people, after the Reaper threat is over, some big scientists will have come up with some way to alter Shep's genes (fix up his telomere DNA sequences or something), and he will become a badass god....with weapons....

I want to be an old man with a hot super model that I can show off to all of my old friends and other old and young people. Just look at Hugh Hefner with his really young girl friends and wifes.

No. It's called life. It happens. Happens now with Human to Human. Widows, Divorcees, Cheaters.

Doesn't matter. When you are gone from the Mortal coil, They have every right to be happy. Doesn't mean the time spent together no longer means anything.

I found it a bit strange in ME1. By ME2 I was use to it.

Poor Liara might have some issues though if she never gets over her "I just couldn't let you go" complex, since no matter what she does she can only spend a few asari years with Shep.

I don't know that Liara will choose to remain alive after Shepard dies. In their romance story arc, their bond is so strong that they really are inseparable. I see one potential fate is that of Arwen after Elessar passes.

Or maybe Liara becomes a justicar. Or one of the Asari's greatest matriarchs. I don't know that she'll take another partner. Maybe, but the romantic in me says everybody else would pale in comparison to Shepard.

I just can't help lovin' my blue alien babe...

Asari generally outlive their partners anyway. Unless their partner is another Asari which is rare anyway.

Addendum... Krogan can also live as long as asari.

Shepard had enough cyborg parts installed to raise him/her from the dead (and restore them to better than they were predeath seeing as Shepard has much higher toxin resistance and super human strength following the process) after suffocating and falling onto the surface of a planet from orbit. The human lifespan may no longer apply. Shepard could wind up outliving Liara, for all we know.

Well Shep's biotic abilities are weaker in ME2, I'd guess he isn't going to last much longer... probably only has this one last war left in him, yay for playing a weak RPG hero another time round.

I prefer RPGs that allow you to spec your character so he becomes a living god but hey thats just me.
