Does it work like this: if you pre-order from store X, then you'll get item Y for free, otherwise you'll have to pay to get item Y?

If that's how it works, cool.

Actually, it's likely going to be: if you pre-order from store X, you'll get item Y for free but never get the chance to purchase item Z because it was Store A's exclusive content. If you ever want item Z, you will have to purchase the game from store X and store A. Store exclusives normally stay exclusive, otherwise everyone would just wait to buy the DLC item(s) later.

That's a moot point since I am not. However, I do suspect that the game designers do not get a say in whether or not the content they create is made to be used in this fashion or not. Regardless, I continue to believe that this is not the best way to treat the customers that have supported you financially for years.

I know it's early but I have to ask, can console players redeem all their preorder and collector edition content over the xbox live/psn marketplace or do we have to go through BSN?

I'm asking because when ME2 came out I lost out on all this content because of a mix up.

You should be able to redeem EA codes through an in game interface but you'll definitely be able to redeem them through the BSN(You'll know they're EA codes because they'll be 12 digits(I think) as opposed to 25). If you just follow the instructions on the card that the code is printed on though, you'll be fine.

You're probably right :(  I don't know why being the only retailer to sell a couple DLC items for free isn't enough exclusivity; instead they have to be the only ones to offer it at all, period.

The thing is, it looks like Gamestop's bonus is so much better than any other retailers. I don't see Amazon, Best Buy, or Walmart getting better pre-order incentives than Gamestop's. It's way out of balance in that regard. I guess Gamestop paid a lot of money for that. I'm considering changing my pre-order.

I'm going to keep an eye out for what retailer in the UK gets the N7 Warfare Gear. I've pre-ordered the CE from GAME.co.uk, so I'm hoping they're going to be doing the Warfare bonus.

Of course the retailer with the worst prices gets the best bonuses. Because they rip off their customers and use that money to pay EA/Bioware. It's a neverending cycle.

This pretty cool, I like the weapon and armor pack. O love Assault Rifles, there my best weapon class. I too hope C.E CONTENT remain EXCLUSIVE!!

Can we get some more info about that shotgun?

Asking because we see the weapons in action (Valkyre and Argus look VERY similar in action, almost identical to the Mattock). Is it single shot? Burst fire? Rapid Fire? Effective like the claymore? like the Geth Pulse? Like the Eviscerator? Scimitar? What exactly do they mean by Superior Firepower?

All I can see with it is that it is camo colored, whoop dee do.

Well I preordered CE from gamestop way back in September, wasn't going to change it regardless, but this is nice. I'm more interested in the screens and vids than the gear.
