the black hole thing is useless.

not if you time it right, friend. It basically sucks in the enemies and then blows them outwards; that's pretty cool and useful if you ask me. I know it worked like a charm against the husks in the Reaper level.

Yeah, on casual ^_^

noooooo I used it on my Insanity playthrough and it actually was pretty decent. Just have to place it in the middle of the group.

It barely does something against the armor of husks.

You'll be waiting a long time then.

Don't expect Mass Effect 3 to be available on Steam.

Dear Bioware/EA:
This bull**** with retailer exclusives is the last straw. I put up with the extreme changes between ME1 and 2. I put up with that crap you called Dragon Age 2. I've considered bothering with your spyware that is Origin. I put up with EA online pass. I put up with that POS Silverman calling everyone who remembered anything from ME1 autistic(along with not being able to do math. How is a game from '07 seven years old in 2011?), and made it seem as if there was going to be no consequences from old decisions at all. I could even ignore the fact that you're giving exclusive crap to GamescamStop. In fact, even this, making your fans have to buy multiple copies of the game to get everything, I could turn a blind eye to if it weren't for all this other stuff.

There are other games from other companies that still at least act like they care about their customers, and my money is just as easily spent there then on this. If something from the above could be changed to make it seem like you aren't trying to screw us on one of the last good game series, ME3 would easily be a buy for me, but at this stage, nothing is going to change. I'm not going to reward you with my money when other companies still care enough to work for it, without making me pay double to get the full package and insulting me for being a fan.

Guys... pre-order bonuses specific to stores is nothing new (and certainly not exclusive to Bioware games)... calm down.

...It's just a GUN for pre-ordering...

If you're actually going to buy another copy for $60 for a GUN that might be released  later for just several dollars... you're just stupid.

I don't care how new or how prevalent it is, it's wrong. Plain and simple. They need to make the entire game available to everyone that wishes to purchase it no matter where they live. At the very least this should be available as optional DLC for all regions.

Seriously, anyone complaining that they don't have EVERY weapon in the game has a serious case of OCD and should get something for that. This isn't "screwing you over, this isn't Bioware being indoctrinated by the rEApers(so clever), this is a company, selling exclusivity to 2 items to the largest video game retailer in the US and Canada, a company that has feelers out to nearly every first world nation and some second and third world ones. They paid out the butt for some exclusive content and then EA decided to make their system a little more appealing.

It is the entire game, it's just a gun that companies allowed to sell to increase their sales. It's not wrong it's capalism. Video game companies are just that; companies, who're trying to make money. Great video games as well but if they don't make money no video games get made at all.

Now if Bioware was selling the "perfect ending" as DLC, I'll go knock them out myself. :innocent:

I have an important question. I am in Asutralia and have already pre-ordered the Collector's Edition from an electronics retailer called: 'JB-HI-FI'. If I want ALL the Pre-Order items, does this mean I must CANCEL the order, and preorder over at EB-Games...OR will the bonuses be given out at JB-HI-FI...? I would love to have an answer.

BTW, remember the days when all the content that was made for a videogame CAME WITH THE GAME when you bought it NOMATTER WHEN, WHERE OR HOW YOU BOUGHT IT? It's disappointing when I miss out on content just because of where I live or which retailer I bought the game from. Remember that Dr. Pepper deal which most people around the world didn't get because they weren't American? It's worse that Bioware or EA didn't make those items available for purchase later! I would prefer to own ALL CONTENT that was made for ME3. I don't want to miss out on choice which is what the game is about!

Bioware hasn't made the list for international retailers, and even if it's spot on to what it is in America you're still gonna need to deal with the split between Origin and Gamestop preorders.

You're preaching to the choir.

I do hope they make all the exclusive items available as DLC rather early, so the incentive to pre-order is to get a glossy content download card bundled free with the game when you plonk down the rest of your payment in March, as opposed to spending a few MS points to get them otherwise.

Bottom line question then is:

a) If I want all the pre-order dlc, should I pre-order both from Origin store and GameStop? ... or jost Origin store?

B) Is the DLC swapable between platforms (i.e. PS3, PC and Xbox 360) or is it console platform specific?

Based on ME2, DLC spreads between PC and Xbox, however in DA2 my promotions spanned all 3 platforms. Could go either way.

As for how to get all, it would require both yes, if you just want the most bang for your buck, you'd be looking at Gamestop, which has 3 items to Origin's 2.

Oh, I forgot to mention I'm playing on Xbox360 so Origin is out of the question. I hate Origin anyway. What do you meant "Even if it is spot on to what is in America"...? What will be spot on?

Honestly what you should do is this:

1. Pre-order the game at Gamestop and the Origin store (they sell 360 copies too).

2. You'll have your codes e-mailed to you/on your receipt. Input them.

3. Open the plasting wrapping for only one of the games.

4. Return one of them to Gamestop.

By that I meant that if Gamestop gets the same package it's getting here and if Origin does, basically I've seen Gamestop buy rights to US preorders but not international ones(sometimes being as glaring as missing another large market like the UK). I'd support the "forget it" mentality because even if it's just for the amount of time it takes for EA to ship your copy, it's not worth paying for a game twice just to get one extra gun that based on ME2 will be useless in the long run.

How did DA2 spread on 3 platforms work? Like how was the DLC provided to you in-game?
