Why can't you cancel it? Its your money, so you should be able to. They may not give you your money back though, so if you want anything else just ask if you can exchange it.II Numero6 II wrote...

Yes, I held out on preordering until the items were announced, so I can understand people being miffed that they didn't get the one they wanted, but this system is not new or different. In fact, there are a lot fewer retailer-exclusives for ME3 than there were for DA:O. Do people remember just how many different items there were then?
In conclusion, I wish Bioware would offer all items to all customers because I like collecting everything. However, I am not raging over this because past game releases taught me what to expect. If people want to vent their frustration with me that all preorders don't come with all items, please join me. If people want to act like what Bioware is doing is new or different from the way they and other companies have been doing things, wake up and pay attention.

For some unknown reason GAME has the exclusive in Australia this time.XSpectreGreyX wrote...
I live in Australia, and we have EB Games, a company owned by Gamestop, here. I pre-ordered the N7 Collector's Edition months ago, but the site for EB Games hasn't updated to include the pre-order bonuses yet, so emailed customer support, but in the past, they've taken over a month to respond. Do people who pre-order from EB Games Australia still get the bonuses?

I'm mad too, since I preorderd from EB. One of the reasons (not the only one, mind you) was that they got the ME2 special stuff.
Since they're very explicit on the 'Exclusive' it's safe to say EB won't be getting it.

Edit: ^^ what he said, I've got to learn to type faster.
EB only has the M55 Argus rifle. Despite EB being part of Gamestop, we join the UK in having the the N7 Warfare Gear (Armour + rifle) being only available from GAME.
EB have 'upgraded' their standard edition to an 'exclusive to EB' Omniblade edition. It contains the M55 Argus rifle, an inflatable omniblade (as was given out by Bioware at a number of conventions in 2011), and a collectible METALPAK which looks similar to the one that's coming in the Collector's Edition (but not exactly the same).

I think the most reason of confusion now is that it was stated "we don't consider retailer-exclusive stuff" several times and that it's rather close to release, so some folks paid their preorders already.SpockLives wrote...
You know what gets me? Bioware has used retailer-exclusive items in DA:O, DA2, and ME2 (and possibly other games, don't know). Yet people act like somehow this time, the retailer-exclusives are a surprise or an outrage.

That, and I expected the N7 Arsenal Pack to contain all the N7 weapons.

Honestly, there are so many different versions that are probably going to come out. I'm sure Gamestop will have its special unique version. I'm going to get confused. And even though this preorder probably covers every preorder across the board no matter who or where I'm getting it from, I'm tired. I don't want to guess where I'm going to get my game. I don't even know if I'm getting the 360 or PC version yet. I hate being pressured to MAKE MY DECISION NOW. And I'm disappointed that BioWare never made a Geth Head Lamp. I'll get your game, you'll get my money, we'll all be friends in the end, okay?
-----
Now, I only pasted that here because I wanted to once again mention the Geth Head Lamp.
Geth Head Lamp, BioWare. I'd buy it.

At Origin Store, how does the pre-order item arrive? As a code too or automatically tied to your origin account?
Also there is nothing in the store to suggest there is a pre-order bonus.
This is for Xbox 360.
IIRC, last pre-order you were e-mailed two licenses when they actually charged you for the preorder. One for the game iteself and one for the bonus content (Black Emporium, I think). Either that or it was the unlock code you enter on the website.
The other items just appear in your account for DL as soon as you unlock them online (like the Facebook items).

Allrighty, so I checked on GAME to see if they've updated with the pre-order bonuses seeing as they're supposedly confirmed to be getting them, but I can't see any mention of pre-order bonuses on their product page. I've got in contact with GAME UK to ask whether or not they know any information about the availability of the pre-order bonuses from them - they're usually pretty good with stuff like this, so fingers crossed they shed some light on the situation regarding when they will make it official.
I look forward to hearing the results and getting some confirmation, though its a shame GAME UK's prices are not the most competative...

In the first post of this thread its mentioned that other retailers will be getting bonuses too. I took this to mean that Amazon and Best Buy (assuming you pre-ordered from one of these places) will be getting some kind of pre-order bonus as well.axis_hunter5 wrote...
Well this is just wonderful, I follow this game for years, buy endless overpriced vanity DLCs for ME2, and always assume the very best of Bioware despite endless naysayers in these forums, and otherwise remain an ardent fan over the entire course of the franchise. When the epic finale was released I pre-ordered the collector's edition as soon as it became available for sale many months ago. Now as the release looms so near they decide to release even more content to their devoted fans! What joy!....
What's that? Oh, apparently because my love for this game doesn't include a loyalty to some unremarkble game store, or an online EA store that I only recently became aware of I'm getting shafted. Yes, I will only get a single item from this pre-order bonus, and one that virtually everyone will likely get as well. You know it's times like these that I really feel that my support for Bioware and love for their games has been rewarded. Apparently the only thing that is actually rewarded is ridiculous brand loyalty, and pandering to marketing schemes. Apparently EA or Bioware's only real concerns are in fact sales and retail deals. Apparently creating captivating stories, exciting gameplay, and an overall wondeful gaming experience take a backseat for them too. Well that's just fine. I guess I really shouldn't be all that surprised or upset. This is all no different than I would expect from any other developer, I guess you're really rather unremarkable in that respect.
Yeah LIKE I MENTIONED I will be getting the Argus Rifle, but so is everyone who pre-orders the game from anyone at all. What bugs me is that these retailers (Amazon US for example) only get one bonus - a very common one at that - while Origin and Gamestop get two additional exclusive ones. Bioware is shortchanging me for not buying from certain retailers. I know this happened with ME2 but it wasn't as bad because there were only single exclusive items. Also given that Bioware claims to listen so diligently and loyally to their fans I assumed, like always, the very best of them and thought that they wouldn't repeat something that upset so many of those fans.

To be fair, it is the retailers that are requesting these bonuses and (unless I am mistaken) are likely paying for them too. GameStop wants to shell out big bucks for a juicy promo that will drive sales. That's the man with the biggest wallet making sure he gets more money. Bioware didn't make the rules, they are just trying to survive within their framework.
This reminds me of the American eletoral process. Everyone is complaining about it, but no one at the bottom end of the pyramid is doing anything about it. If you don't like what Gamestop is doing, don't buy from them.
On the other hand...if the other retailer step up then you get to choose and everyone wins.
Observation 1: Nothing is perfect.
Observation 2: There will always be someone to complaint about that fact.

One amazing gamestop store helped me out....I picked up my DAO CE in the midst of release day insanity and got a preorder bonus card but failed to notice my preorder bonus code was PC instead of a 360 code so by all rights I should have been screwed and would have had no right to complain about it because I failed to do my job. But I didn't even manage to get home when I got a call telling me to go back so I can get a propper 360 code for my preorder. It's instances like this combined with nearly a decade of solid, flawless service that really show why GameStop is the top game retailer in the world and why they always get the best bonuses.

Hey stop whining for you all that have home internet and can get these items. But for those that do not have home internet there is no way to get them, so the big problem why are they doing this to people like my self. There is no way I ca get any of wich is very agrivating.
I totally support you man. Looks like BW and EA went into money making rage and they can't even control themselves anymore. Looks like they have forgotten about the little ones and those who do not want to be a part of this circus.
Look at those poor forum users saying that they pre-ordered this and that at Gamestop, Origin and only God knows where else. Don't you get it people?? It's all about this. NOT THE ME3 itself. It's about keeping your minds at it. Make you think of it all the time and wonder where to buy and what to buy.
I wanted to pre-order, but now I decided I will not. Like ME2, I will get the items via codes later on. If they are not available - I DON'T CARE ANYMORE. Thank you EA and BW - you just made my favourite game died of marketing and promotion cancer.
