I paid for my copy of Mass Effect 3 at least four months prior to all this "in-game bonus material" tomfoolery via Origin. Honestly, I don't think the armor or arsenal pack (I'm forgetting what they give you now if you order from GameStop) is worth the trouble of getting a return and then spending the money at GS. I'm going to be certain that I won't be using whatever bonuses they give me frequently. At least in the previous game I found that my ME2 Cerberus armor was rather pathetic. Ended up switching it out as soon as I got enough credits to get myself some decent armor specs. I think one of the only DLC weaponry/armor I really liked was the Lotus SMG. That is one nice SMG...

But I digress -- honestly, when the game comes out in the fifty or so days we have left to go, I doubt the Argus, Raider, new armor, or arsenal pack will really make much a difference. Especially if you bought the N7 Digital Deluxe Edition ahead of time and got all of those other extra goodies. I mean, honestly, I'm not going to complain here.

Good man. That aside, the defender armour (GameStop) looks pretty badass. It appears to be modular. either that or the helmet can be toggled. In either case I read somewhere that it boosts shields, health, weapon damage, and ammo capacity. I agree it's not worth the trouble. But I can't complain either because I'm getting the N7 Collectors Edition.

Helmets can be toggled, I had it confirmed by a Bioware employee (Sylvf)
on Twitter.

BTW, one Polish retailer (gram.pl) claims to include the Mass Effect: Redemption comic with the CE. http://www.gram.pl/s...kcjonerska.html . Where did that come from? At first I was like yay but then a treacherous thought has entered my mind telling me it could be included there instead of some other content (like Argus Rifle or other). (Yeah I know but after reading this whole thread I'm crazy suspicious about exclusives.)

Probably a mix-up. The ME3 CE comes with the first issue of Invasion. The ME2 CE came with issue one of Redemption.

Mass Effect 3 N7 Digital Deluxe Edition
Checked this product on the russian Origin store in December . It was available in english . When i tried to pre-order it today i only found russian as a selectable language . What happened ? Is it become region restricted game like BF3 ?
I don't want to buy this game from the overpriced EU or US Origin store . :(

I do wonder, having read the entire thread:

Are people seriously upset about possibly not having all the preorder bonuses? Did those of you who managed to get all the preorder bonuses for ME2 actually use them all? The only one I ever used was the Blackstorm, because it was fun, if weak. I think I wore the Terminus armor once, and I've never used the Inferno Armor even though I technically have it twice (from the preorder code and from DLC).

So: Will not having the Gamestop DLC make the game terrible? I don't think it will.

It seems to me you are trying to tell other people how they are allowed to enjoy the game.  You enjoy the game your way.  I will enjoy the game my way, with as many pre-order items as I can get.

And yes, I have every single ME2 item since i pre-ordered the CE from Gamestop.  I enjoy having everything since I like to collect things.  Deal with it.

I agree with Bella. These are just a bunch of extra weapons, after all.

Still, I did get all anxieted (is that a word? :D ) about them. Pretty effrective marketing mechanisms seem to be at work here. Some are more susceptible to it than others. Besides, if someone already spends extra $$ on CE then it's hard to resist the urge of getting all available goodies.

Well Gamestop already stopped selling in-store CE's in my area the day this ad was launched. Great timing.

GameStop.com still has them....you may want to hurry.

As of last night (Jan 6) the 360 version Collector's Edition is no longer available at Gamestop, but the PS version was.     The exact same thing happenned before ME2 release (except, of course there was no PS version) and many people ended up disappointed.      You can still order on line, but I would not wait as they will probably go very fast.
There never was any backorder for ME2 and I would not expect one this time around.       Don't wait or you likely not get what you want.

Checked the EU store of Origin . 69.99 € ($88.99) for the Digital Deluxe Edition ? I like Bioware , but this is just too much for my wallet .

I'm paying about $80, then $11.50 for shipping, then add taxes and I'm left at well over $90, but it doesn't matter, because frankly the CE has quite a bit of content for only being $20 more.

Look at those poor forum users saying that they pre-ordered this and that at Gamestop, Origin and only God knows where else. Don't you get it people?? It's all about this. NOT THE ME3 itself. It's about keeping your minds at it. Make you think of it all the time and wonder where to buy and what to buy.

Preordered at Game, actually,....and yes I get it but I don't give a rat's ass.

As there announcing pre-order stuff have we had a straight answer about whether there will be a version (i.e retail on dvd) that doesn't require the origins client yet?

I probably just made Bioware's day today. Standard edition Xbox 360 version and the PC N7 Collectors Edition were both pre-ordered by me. You're welcome, Bioware. I never buy Collectors Editions.

haha. good job. I would have just bought the 360 Collectors edition. oh but I did. I might eventually get the Standard PC Edition, but that's just me, I'm not a big PC gamer.

this is my problem, i hope you guys can give me tips or what so ever.

Im intrested in buying the mass effect 3 collectors edition with (ofcourse that awsome armor) either digital or not don't really matter but the problem is i do not have a credit card and don't know anybody that have a creditcard. Normaly i pay my game with paypall or cash in the local store or online in Holland. Is there anybody in the same shoes atm and do you guys have tips where i can order this? Thanks in advance.

I'm not telling people how they're allowed to do anything. And the only thing I have to deal with is my own copy of ME3 and associated preorder DLC. I'm not even telling people not to get all the DLC. I didn't preorder ME2 at all, but I have the preorder DLC.

I'm a bit amazed that the response to "not getting everything doesn't seem to be all that bad" is "you're not the boss of me!", however. I don't want to be the boss of you.

I have a few basic questions then I'll get to finding you an option that hopefully works

1) which platform (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
2) are you using a "US" 360 or PS3 (NTSC, it matters because that restricts your options for where to buy from, i.e. you could pobably buy from gamestop us and have it shipped to you if you were)
3) have you checked out the Mass Effect Wiki?

There's nothing on the ME Wiki about the availability of this pre-order bonus here in the Netherlands.

Best we can do at the moment is to simply wait.
