Great, Amazon gets nothing but the Argus. Figures.

Well, shipping is free and no tax so you'd save around 10 bucks, and I plan  to get the preorder items through *ahem* other means.

If by other means you mean nailing someone in the back of the head with a metal pipe and stealing their preorder copy I'm on board.

Ok sorry i wasn't more helpful. I'll do some digging elsewhere, those questions were mainly for preliminary information gathering. As for the concern about the digital version being german. Amazon Germany gets the armour and N7 Valkyrie. At the very least, if it follows the convention of past BioWare games, it will be available in other languages, including English. hope that helps. and I think Amazon accepts checking accounts. if anyone else can help I'd appreciate it.

EB Games in New Zealand are doing the Omni-Blade Edition as well. Just FYI for any kiwis.

So... what are the chances that we'll be able to use BioWare points, etc. to buy some of these pre-order items later, like a month or two after release, ala Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Fallout: New Vegas? It'd be nice to be able to get every piece of DLC if possible.

I probably just made Bioware's day today. Standard edition Xbox 360 version and the PC N7 Collectors Edition were both pre-ordered by me. You're welcome, Bioware. I never buy Collectors Editions.

haha. good job. I would have just bought the 360 Collectors edition. oh but I did. I might eventually get the Standard PC Edition, but that's just me, I'm not a big PC gamer.

I got the standard edition for my sister.  Before I upgraded my PC, the 360 and PS3 were my go to things for gaming with my PC being used for....ehem....and flash games.  And because of that, I only had to buy the games once since the 360 was hooked up to the TV and everyone had access to it.

Then I upgraded and transferred my stuff to my PC.  And thanks to EA, I got Mass Effect 2 for free, Mass Effect dirt cheap, setting the stage for me to play ME3 on my PC.  And since my set is password protected (with good reason, because no one seems to know how to use my computer without effing something up), she wouldn't be able to play the game on my computer.

Not only that, she wouldn't get a chance to play the game at all in March, so it's just easier this way.  And it'll be easier once I move out so my sister can keep the 360 and not be bored.

It's a sort of pseudo-CE: you get a metal case (apparently with the standard cover art) plus an inflatable omni-blade.

Yeah. If you pre-order, for the same price as the standard editions you get the game with a tin case (possibly the same as the one from the CE... not entirely sure, but it looks like it), the M55 Carbine Rifle and an inflatable Omni-Blade (looks like the ones from Comic-Con last year).

I'm willing to bet Amazon will get its own preorder bonus sometime in the near future.

Didn't multiple retailers have their own specific bonuses last time? Best Buy, Gamestop, Amazon, etc?

Only Gamestop got retailer exclusive pre-order stuff for ME2.  Everyone else got the same stuff.

GameStop frequently gets exclusive stuff. Likely because they're a giant in the industry and pay out their fannies for it. I am not loyal to any one store (I get my games wherever I can get the best price and or find them) but I do almost always pre-order GameStop. I love their release day guarantee..and while other retailers offer it, GameStop is the only one I know of that offers a shipping refund if the item doesn't arrive on release day (not including delays due to inclement weather)

Gamestop's fastest shipping is highway robbery, but I went ahead and cancelled my Amazon order and grabbed a Gamestop one. I had better get everything I paid for and on release day or that will be the last thing I order from them.

- I do like the money refund if the product doesn't arrive when it's supposed to.

Quick question and apologies if it's already been answered numerous times...

If I order the Origin Digital Deluxe Edition, will I still receive the extra squadmate or is that only for retail versions? Or will that be announced soon?

Thanks! It seems likely that the contents of the Collector's Edition and Digital Deluxe are the same. Still, one page lists the squadmate, another doesn't mention it for either edition. Plenty of time left.

The only thing the Digital one might not get is the N7 Fabric Patch...beyond that it appears you are correct. at least that's my understanding.

And the 360 Avatar item/s.....that's the best part too, can't forget about that.

At least Amazon gets you that $10 dollar gift card...maybe can trade that for pre-order codes...?

Or you can pre-order a regular copy from Gamestop US, and then when you get the receipt with the DLC code on it, you take it home and redeem it, then return the unopened ME3 copy for a refund.

Bioware refuses to talk about the extra character for some reason.

I'm actually canceling my order with EB Games Australia and pre-ordering at GAME instead. Also, if someone really wants the bonuses, I'm sure they'll show up on eBay eventually.
