I'm a completionist. I am willing to go that extra mile (beating a game on Insanity or something against impossible odds) just so I can unlock every single weapon, costume and character. I love it when I finally complete the game 100% and have everything 100% unlocked.
I'm not against selling extra content through DLC. The more the merrier. If extra DLC can extent the replay value of a game than why not? BioWare, feel free to sell us as many costumes, guns and bonus characters as you see fit!
However, these pre-order exclusive items are a bit ridiculous. Not that I'm against pre-order exclusive items that are simply exclusive to pre-orders. I'm against the monopoly that stores get on specific pre-order items. I'm against the fact that if I pre-order that 'store X', I get 'item X', but if I pre-order at 'store Y', I get 'item Y'. But no way in hell can I get both 'item X' and 'item Y'. It frustrates me that I can't get ALL the items in ME3 because some of those items are exclusive to specific stores.
And no, I REFUSE to buy ME3 multiple times to get all the content, screw that! I don't even have to money for that!
The completionist in me is totally angry at these kind of deals! <_< I want ALL those guns goddamnit! It makes me sad that it will never happen. I'll never be able to get ALL the guns in Mass Effect 3.
