If I buy the digital deluxe edition on gamestop, will I get the Defender Armor?
Asking cuz in the page for the digital delux doesn't mention that.

First of all, if you check your product in your "cart", the N7 Warfare Gear is listed under the DDE.
Second, when did Gamestop get the DDE? I thought it was exclusive to Origin. Can someone confirm by linkage, otherwise I'm just going to assume Gamestop.com is being stupid. Oddly, the DDE isn't listed in Gamestop.ca (EBgames). What's up?

Also people need to get this straight, the N7 Warfare Gear and the N7 Arsenal Pack are two different things:

The N7 Arsenal Pack comes with the CE and DDE
The N7 Warfare Gear comes with a pre-order of either standard or CE from Gamestop.

Two million copies sold in the first day. Another seven million by the end of the first week. Every sales record, annihilated. All competing games on the run, raging, somewhere. Reports are coming in from other major game developers. It's a well coordinated release, and so far it's been damned effective. Don't know what it is, what it wants, or where it came from. Only one thing is certain, if Shepard doesn't bring help soon, there won't be any more copies left to sell.

Ha spot on! using the qoute from 2010's december annoucement trailer by the narrator but changed it to marketing instead.
fu*king briliant!:o:D

Everyone has used the 'two million copies/games' quote before. I saw it on a youtube vid and decided to switch the rest of the trailer dialogue to marketing to fit.

Anyone know how you get the bonus through Best Buy? It isn't mentioned on their site at all. I was considering in-store pick up.

So what should a UK PS3 player get? Pre-order Standard Edition? I can't see the Collector's Edition being worth the stupid £30, which is over double the extra paid for it in America.

Yeah it will be at the top of the list of registered content. It will actually show up on the screen while playing the demo aswell. One you get at the start and the other at the end. I had to play through 3 times to get it as the EA server kept disconnecting while I was playing. I thought it was strange but the demo was worth a few more plays..
Best of luck.

Wait, Best Buy has an exclusive pre-order bonus other than the M-55 Argus?

No, but all retailers are supposed to offer the M55 and Best Buy isn't mentioning that incentive, which they normally would. I am confused about if they are still offering it.

It's not stated on the OP, but the Origin store is offering all the pre-order stuff, nice.

Link  I fixed your link :)
Now this, I wouldn't mind at all, seeing as lots of games have vaults made for people who really want some swanky gear, but in the details it says it comes with a code for multiplayer DLC. That just pisss me off because it;s probably exclusive DLC available ONLY with that vault.

Aeurgh.

I think EA is running the DLC thing, not Bioware. Bioware wouldn't take things this far.

Holy crap. The amount of times we have gotten to justifiably say, "This has gone too far," for this game has gone too far. I can't believe the ridiculous amount of stuff you must buy to get all the DLC.

@purplehaybusa : Thanks for fixing my link ;)

And the thing is I'm probably gonna buy everything as I fell like my game will not be 'complete' without them. Though, I don't think I'm gonna buy the figures. I LOVE FIGURES...but thing is I don't like those from ME at all! they just don't feel right. on top of that I could buy the set of 4 and get only one promo code (they've decided to randomize the promo codes in the packaging.....)

It's the first and last time I dedicate so much money for a game.

What about you guys?? buying or not? Is it all worth the effort and money??

At this point, as a sane human being, I can't. Too much is just made in cheap factories with little concern for whether or not it is appropriate or in good taste. I can absolutely say at this point, you are not likely to buy all this stuff unless you are already a full-fledged ME merchandise collector, which makes this marketing strategy pretty tasteless when you consider that the core customer base responsible for the success of the franchise is the game-buyers. The game-buyers who would gladly, and still hope to, buy all the DLC if it were offered by itself. BioWare can't even pretend at this point that they thought everyone who wanted DLC would feel rewarded by getting it paired with the range of junk it is now stuck exclusively with.

I really hoped you guys would learn from the great CDProjekt Red and make it all available for free for everyone. It is such a stupid thing to differentiate customers. It's not car models we are talking about here. It is a fraking video game. And then they will complain when all those items are out there...

As the fan that I am, I'm dropping the money for the N7 edition of the game, collector strategy guide, and Art of the ME universe.

@Arcamenel No problem, and I feel that I'll probably be buying all the exra stuff, too, just because I'm a sucker for making my games 'complete'.
If the figures turn out ok, then i won't regret it. Money can always be re-earned.

@Cannon Lars I feel you about that. If the DLC paired with all this extraneous merchandise was simply available online, then many more people would be buying it. But tagging merch with 'ME3 DLC Exclusive' is a very effective yet very sleazy way of advertising those products. And quite frankly, some of the figures probably wouldn't even make it if it weren't for the DLC. But ME3 is still a month away, and it's not like Bioware would put DLC up online for purchase before the game releases, so we'll just have to wait and see what they have in store.

I just had a thought : it seems like EVERYTHING related to ME3 will indeed have a promo code...what about the M8 Avenger assault rifle replica from Bioware??????

People that will buy this gun will pay NEARLY 12 TIME THE PRICE OF THE GAME! I mean they ought to have some goodies with it...

.....Shame on me

Well, the fact that it's a life size replica of the M-8 Avenger is reason enough to buy it. If I had enough money, it's not like the inclusion of a DLC code would hinge my decision of whether or not to buy it.

But still, if it does have a DLC code, it had better be some pretty cool stuff.

Is Walmart getting the Argus Rifle? It's not advertised and no one there seems to know what I'm talking about.

The Wal Mart pre-order bonus as listed on the official Wal Mart website here is a $10 e-gift card, so essentially if you preorer, you get 10 dollars off. I don't think they get the M-55 Argus, which sucks big time, even though it was noted that all pre-orders, regardless of retailer, get the M-55 Argus.

Who knows, it might be on a glossy card bundled with each and every game that's shipped before release date. If so, then by all means pick Wal Mart as your preferred retailer if you desire.
Actually I think that might be the case.

Gah I'm so confused. The official ME3 website states that all preorders get the M-55 Argus, and so does the Mass Effect Wiki, but this Technology Tell article says otherwise, and they're a very reliable and trusted news source.

Even if Wal Mart doesn't net you the M-55 Argus, 10 bucks off a brand new high-quality title such as Mass Effect is always a plus, and quite frankly, people will have DLC codes for the pre-order guns up on EBay in no time. So you can easily get youself all the exclusive DLC, for a bit of a premium, however, but they shouldn't be too expensive.
I'm using EBay to get the AT-12 Raider after the game releases because I preordered from GameStop.

Thanks for the info. I expected this however I thing the gift card is for future purchases only and isnt applied to mass effect 3. Kinda sucks but this is one of the few places where the N7 edition can be found anymore. I missed it at Best buy by ONE day per the clerk.......I might preorder at Gamestop and sell it to a freind minus the DLC....
