Ultimately, I just don't know about this preorder. Yes, the new armor is cool, but ultimately its just a redesign of existing armor in the game, and its abnormally large size on Shepard comes off as a bit comical in my opinion.

As for the new guns, well, I'm one of those people who bought all of the weapons DLCs for ME2, and found that those DLCs alone made the game's customization options actually worth it. I should hope ME3 has enough weapons within each respective class so  that I don't need to buy a handful of DLCs to get an actual RPG-esque list of backups.

Likely if we're talking PC/360.  Not so much if we're talking PS3.  Sony doesn't like that for whatever reason, so codes that come with PS3 versions usually work for the PS3 only.

Everything is elaborated in the first post and the Pre-Order Bonus section on the official website.  Short answer: every retailer gives you the Argus, and Origin also throws in the shotgun on top of that.

Also, just like to address something to Bioware: I will pay you money to get the Raider shotgun since I'm getting it for the 360 and not Origin. Actual money for access to a piece of data. Please consider taking my money.

I hope you know that you can use sandboxie application to run origin through it ? You can block it's spyware abilities then.

Just to clarify, an Australian preorder of the Collector's edition (if that matters), from a local EB Games will recieve only the M55 Argus rifle? Or will it count as a gamestop predorder and allow you to recieve the N7 Warfare gear also?

That's what I was wondering too , what is the method of recieving and redeeming that pre-order content if you order from gamestop, digital or does in come in the package, its of greater concern for me since I order international shipping and it would suck to recieve the package and no codes.
