true, but at least we know that origin has been confirmed by bioware.

Um, no, the fact that EA is selling an EA game on their own store doesn't confirm that at all.  It probably will use Origin, but they still haven't given official word on that.

I know I'm jumping to conclusions without any official confirmations. There are some hints on the official webstie, but some people might disagree with me. So far I've noticed that Chris locks every thread where Origin is mentioned, so  lets stop talking about Origin and focus on the stuff presented in those trailers :)

Cool, very glad that the Argus rifle is available to everyone who preorders. I was hoping for that.

Also, just like to address something to Bioware: I will pay you money to get the Raider shotgun since I'm getting it for the 360 and not Origin. Actual money for access to a piece of data. Please consider taking my money. :)

I hope you know that you can use sandboxie application to run origin through it ? You can block it's spyware abilities then.

Or just, you know, order on the Origin website for the 360. No Origin client required.

I actually don't have a problem with the Origin client(I'm pretty sure I have it installed on my PC since they gave out copies of ME2 free at one point I believe). I would just rather not pay 16 dollars for expidited shipping and just pay the money directly for the Raider if they sell it as DLC. Besides, it's easier for me to just keep my preorder with Gamestop than getting the rest of the money and moving it to an Origin preorder. It's not a deal breaker or anything, I was just making known that I'd be glad if they had the preorder items available as purchaseable DLC at some point.

Is there a way to do this? I'd really like it if there was. I think there was for Zaeed at least...

I was hoping they would... as an incentive to buy the game brand new.  Those who don't pre-order should still have an incentive to buy the game new... you'd think... (that's what they did in ME2 with Zaeed/Cerberus Network)

OK GREAT!!!!! I just knew this was coming...You Bioware people just had to do it. Because you have not enough money yet, have you??. Just to remind you... WE ARE ALL ME FANS, NOT ORIGIN, GAMESTOP OR OTHER RETAILER FANS.

This is so screwed up of you to differ the offer depending on the retailer. So if I want to get all the contents I have to pre-order several copies at different retailers?? Hope I'm getting this wrong.

What about those who will become fans after the release of ME3. Will they have opportunity to get all the items?? I don't see why I can't get them after the release. Buy a code or sth?? This is so unfair. I understand that you are in the middle of promo campaign for ME, but this is too much.

I could bet money on that until the 6th March  they will release more of such things, make agreements with more retailers, just to increase sales. And we, fans will be running around searching for the best offer. For those who pre-ordered: be careful. It may still occur that some other retailer will get additional pre-order items, that will not be included in your copy, because he got better agreement with EA or paid more money.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

I have only to call Gamestop to be sure that the preorder bonus works in all the countries. Though from my experience with Bioware games, Gamestop preorder bonuses are available in other countries too.

mmm I don't like choose where preorder because Im a fan until the 1st ME and I want all dlcs, and here in Italy the CE cost 89 € (115,9 $) at Game Stop... they don't have good prices but this time have the richer content in my opinion. I don't know If I preorder the game at GS maybe I wait until the very end to see the best (and cheaper) offer

This.

As a very big fan of Mass Effect, I am very disappoint about this retailer exclusive thing that prevents me from having access at good in-game content.

If you want to go around ordering copies from different places trying to get all the pre-order bonus that may or may not be coming(would have thought they would have told us if any other retailers had exclusive bonuses). That is a you thing and not the fault or problem of Bioware. Being a fan has nothing to do with deciding who gets the bonuses,it's who paid for them and in this case gamestop was willing to paid for special pre-order bonuses. I doubt Bioware does this as a way to slight anyone and just looks at it as business.
For people who say that making you happy is good for business, that is not the most important thing. Making money is and that means they won't neglect sure fire ways of making money just purely to make you happy. They offer you options and it is your choice to decide which of those option is one you want to take.
Pre-order bonuses are ways to combat used games sales as they require you to buy the game new(so even gamestop's orders are new game sales instead of used game sales). Project ten dollars is their way of encouraging it even after the initial sales and making any loss from used game sales less.

I hope this applies to non-US stores as well. I pre-ordered the CE from Game (in the UK) a while back so hopefully they'll have some kind of pre-order thing.

Its only a couple of guns though, its hardly the end of the world.

There's a thread about this and it seems you have to buy the CE if you want the bonus character. I personally think its worth it - it seems a very interesting character, and you get a fair bit besides that.

Don't get your hopes up and assume everything outside the CE applies only to North American buyers until you're told otherwise.

Also the weapons at least, are almost definitely usable in Co-Op. BW would be stupid otherwise.

I didn't get anything for pre-ordering ME2, although I did get it like the a day or two before the release day so I can't complain.

And this time around the main DLC I'm interested in is the CE character - an extra gun or suit of armour would be nice, but I'm getting a whole set of guns in the CE as it is so I'm not all that fussed.

The issue, my dear, is that BioWare is making a conscious decision to actively prevent loyal fans from being able to receive all of the DLC unless they purchase multiple copies of the game from multiple retailers (assuming they get the cheapest copy of the game, you're looking at $180 to ensure that you get all of the content). That doesn't seem like a particularly fan-friendly action to take, especially from a company that is supposed to "listen to [its] fans".

Look, I'm not fan of retailer exclusives either, but why does everyone around here act like "listens to fans" means the same as "does everything fans ask for"? Like it or not, retailers matter, and sometimes, they're gonna listen to them and do what they want.

Makes the Argus look horribly inaccurate as well.

One shot lands in the stomach, another hits the head and the last hits his arm.

"Accurate burst fire" my ass.

Buy the CE from Gamestop and you get ALL the content.

You don't need multiple copies.

And frankly, anyone willing to buy multiple copies of the same game for an extra gun has too much disposable income.
