Being a Spectre was a pretty big deal in the first game.  But you are not exactly a Spectre anymore.  I suppose some people's Shepard will still have Spectre status, I dunno after "Arival".  N7 is something Shepard has been all along, and he is back with the Alliance I imagine.  No idea if he will have "special access to the best arms and equipment in the galaxy" like he did in the first game.  But tech changes and perhaps that is the N7 stuff now.  Or it's all Shepard has time to get his hands on given the situation he is in.  I'm specualting.

why are we again being told that if you dont pre order from gamestop in the US that you will not get the best DLC equipment? it happened in ME2. It appears to happen again in ME3. Amazon guarantees release day delivery, where I live that means in the morning. Whereas gamestop will charge me on delivery, and taxes.
Amazons DLC for ME2 ended up being downloadable content later on, whereas gamestop was never released. This is ridiculous. make it the same for everyone so we arent forced to pick between a retailer that sucks and a good retailer that isnt receiving good DLC...

There seems to be some confusion due to the NA retailers listed on the page. To clarify:

GameStop  customers

• get the N7 Warfare Gear including the N7 Valkyrie assault rifle.

Everyone who pre-orders from any retailer

• gets the M55 Argus assault rifle (so Gamestop customers who pre-order get this and the N7 warfare gear).

Origin pre-order customers

• get the AT12 Raider shotgun and the M55 Argus assault rifle (as all pre-orders get the Argus)

Origin is EA's digital distribution platform / program.

When you pre-order ME3 (doesn't matter if it is the Digital Deluxe Edition or normal edition) through Origin, you get the AT-12 Raider shotgun as an added bonus.

But don't forget that Gamemania is also a major retailer of games here in the Benelux. They also offer the ME3 CE.

I'll be quite honest with you, I had no idea we even had this retailer, lol.
But, yeah, that doesn't really change the fact that both of these are major retailers, though. 

Also, one thing I find somewhat amusing is that this topic's idea was to clarify and clear up the problems that might arise. Instead, it did the exact opposite.

I pre-ordered from amazon, but to tell you the truth I have no idea which one it was (I've pre-ordered since July and someone else did it for me so I can't be sure). Will the N7 Warfare really be limited to only the german version of the site?

Also I don't want the armor because I think my gaming experience would be lesser without it, I want the armor because I just really want it and it looks cool XD. Simple as that. I also think that the Collector's edition of the game should have all the goodies that are available instead of getting the same pre-order specific bonuses like the standart edition of the game.

i don't think that this preorder bonuses are fair...

I made my preorder of CE ME3 from GAME http://www.game.co.uk/ in June 2011, about the same time that they announced that you can preorder the game, and that you should do it ASAP.

And now it appears that I will only get the M55, and nothing else....that sucks BIOWARE. Your deals with GAME STOP and ORIGIN should not affect dedicated fans in such way...

The reason I made that pre order is because no other online retailer made deliveries to Croatia (I live there ), game stop totally ignore this part of the world..

Chris....can you tell me anything regarding this issue.....I mean, I also what to enjoy the N7 defender armor....C'mon...

Does anyone know if Mass Effect 3 will ever be available for pre-order over Steam? I have ME 1 and 2 on Steam and I obviously want to continue with my Shepard but I'm afraid Origin wouldn't let me do that for obvious reasons. Thanks.

EA is the most incompetent company on the planet and their customer service is worthless.....they only exist and make great money because they have great developers like BioWare making games for them. I really wouldn't put any faith in EA's word.

I wouldn't be too worried. I work at EB Games and usually we get an abundance of DLC codes for pre-orders, possibly like 100 too much and most of us are nice enough to give them away. If you don't receive the N7 Warfare Gear, go to your local EB Games/Gamestop and see if you'll get lucky. ;D
