Although doubtful I would like to see a very solid CE exclussive for once and keeping this character would nicely compliment the N7 Arsenal and the other digital items. Then if the N7 Warfare Pack is left as a true pre-order only exclussive then only true fans will be able to have the entire experience and all who want to undercut BioWare by buying the game late and at a discount will be taught a very good lesson by being left with a greatly lesser ME3 experience.

They are nothing more than items. You don't need items to have this "full experience" you are talking about.

All my local stores are no longer taking pre-orders for the C.E. They are 'sold out' as it were.I feel bad for my friend, who should have pre-ordered months ago. His now stuck with the omniblade edition.

I wouldn't pay for this "Omniblade Edition". It looks lame (who the heck needs an inflatable omniblade?!) and is quite overpriced.
If I were him I'd go with the ME3 DD from Origin.

I'm not certain if this is a serious post or a farce.....how could Mass Effect in any way shape or form be complete witout ALL N7 weapons and armors? The most iconic and game defining war gear and ME3 is all out war against the reapers. Missing those leaves the game in a state where you may as well be playing Conrad Verner acting a fool instead of Shepard uniting the universe and taking down the reapers.

I'm not a fan of Origin myself, but from what I've seen and read Origin only reads the date at which a file was created and when it was last edited (and perhaps something else). Nothing more. It's not so bad as people seem to believe.
And it's only a suggestion. What he does in the end is his choice. Way to go to make someone trying to be helpful look awful. <_<

But Origin is better than nothing. I've looked at what this "Omniblade Edition" is and honestly, it's a bunch of crap (and a huge waste of money).

Serious? I'm having a lot of trouble processing that....to me missing any of the N7 gear is just unthinkable, I don't know how I'd live with myself.

As for Origin, it's shady at best and from what I heard about Battlefield 3 even getting the game running was a task that consumed a lot of hours and effort.

But regarding the Omniblade Edition....yeah,really bad idea.

I won't pre-order. In fact, I won't buy the game, until I know for a fact, I don't need to have Origins on my damn computer to run the game. If I do, I guess could never play 3. I hate Origins that much.

Damn it, this question again....been answered a trillion times.....absolutely not, preorder bonuses are NOT part of the CE, the end. If you want a speciffic preorder bonus you must preorder with a retailer that offers that bonus.

Get it for 360 and convert your ME2 PC saves to 360 format and move on as if nothing happened. You get to play an amazing game and EA gets to see Origin fail.

i dont like the idea of actual pieces of content [extra character + affiliated missions] being stripped off the non-CE-versions. i'm fine with giving you people who do have the money for it some vintage-items like the dog-mech-thingy. thats why i liked the way ME2 played out. by now i do own almost every dlc for it (the appearance-packs are worthless to me ;->). i am fine with them CE-owners having an additional armor and weapon - if this would extend to them having additional characters, i wouldnt be even half as positive about this.

I'd be all good if it was a universal preorder item but at the same time I hate the idea of someone buying the game a year or two later when the game costs $20 and not feeling the burn for having undercut BioWare out of their livelyhood. Or perhaps it could be like a $5 DLC for untill the game sees its first price cut and then gets upped to like $40.

from a business perspective, releasing these contents as dlc is beneficial as the demand for the game itself decreases exponentially over time. the demand would plummet into oblivion if people knew that legitimate pieces of content are unavailable to them. while i understand your argument, it is undeniable that releasing dlc's in any way, shape or form helps the actual business sustain people's interest in their product.

ohh and btw: i did buy the game @ release ;->

to contribute to the preorder-discussion: by the time i bought the game [date of release], i HATED the way deus ex 3 worked out with people preordering at certain resellers getting access to 2 or 3 additional missions. a month ago, dont pinpoint me on that, they released these additional missions as dlc and now i'm basicly fine with it. in this game its not as severe as the preorder-items are weapons and armor and not full-fledged missions, so i am [almost... *sniff* :(]  okay with it

Steam may sell the game as well, as they have both ME 1&2 already on there, but im not sure i would recommend checking closer to the date mind

All europeans that have ordered from game.co.uk i have a real confirmation from GAME'S official twitter account.
i was asking about whether this was true or not and also asked about if the N7 pre-order exclusive comes with SE/CE or one of them. This is the answer i got from them on twitter. (posting the question i wrote down first so people can understand fully though)

Me: @Gamedigital the annoucement about you having the @gamestop pre-order (N7 Warfare Pack, armor+rifle) exclusives with ME3 . is it true? and if so, is it for SE and CE or one of em? just wanted to know if you could answer this questions since i pre-ordered ME3 SE from you today, and i would be very dissapointed if the pre-order @gamestop exclusives you also have, from the statement from EA, would be false. Ty for reading!

Yes. Although they don't list on the ME3 games on there page, you will get the pre-order armor+rifle.
