When  the site of a store like Gamestop on our country has a poor and clunky interface and doesn't even list the Mass Effect 3 Standard Edition, let alone the Collector's Edition, it kinda raises some flags.

They never got a very big foothold here anyway, did they? I got to pass by one of their stores once, and they weren't exactly packed with stuff. And the prices I saw there weren't exactly competitive either, so that's not a big surprise.

No, actually I didn't have a clue, there was no information of that sort in the store neither did the employee bring that up.

Do you know when they will be closing their doors? It won't be until Mass Effect 3 launches right?

Still, I don't think that counts as an excuse to not offer the same promotions as the US GameStop while it is still open, since all it takes to get the N7 Warfare Pack and the M55 rifle is a redemption code that is printed in the receipt at time of purchase.

You're right about that. The games there are very expensive. Who wants to give 70€ for a game, when you can buy it for 50€ from an online store? And we have at least two online stores here in Portugal that have those prices. Unfortunately, none of them as the CE available, yet.

I'm afraid they're going to close next month. I had pre-ordered the CE there too and now I have to buy it from another country because GameStop was the only store that would have the CE here in Portugal.

Yeah that sounds about right, the standard edition's price when I looked it up was around 32.99£ for the PC so that must be the CE. When I made my pre-order at the GameStop store the guy there didn't call it Collector's Edition but Limited Edition instead.

Me neither, as a matter of fact I was only introduced to the series last month. I watched the trailer for ME2 and thought: "Well, this looks epic enough!". So when I got the chance I bought the first ME and fell absolutely in love with it (despite hating it sometimes while driving the Mako).

When I finished it, I bought ME2 and it took me around 2 weeks to 100% complete both games. It had been a while since I felt so hooked to a videogame and I couldn't believe ME3 was still about 3 months away (I felt genuine sorry for those who have been experiecing the franchise since its debut and were waiting since 2010).

Luckily (sort of) college exams were starting and I began to have less and less time to think about ME so the pain of the waiting gradually began to diminish. But now my exams are almost over and the pain is coming back! Damn it! :')

Thanks for the heads up. When did you learn about this? I think the least they could do was warn the customers who have pre-ordered games that they are not gonna get them anymore. I guess that's just asking for too much. <_<

Do you have any idea where are you ordering it from then? I guess I will look into ordering from US's GameStop to see if I can get the N7 Warfare Gear.

You're welcome I heard about this two days ago. I was very upset because they didn't warned that they were closing doors. And the store where I pre-ordered the game is already closed and they didn't said anything either.

I already pre-ordered from GAME UK yesterday. I don't know if they're getting the bonuses or not. I sent them an email asking but no one answered. I saw that GAME in Australia has the bonuses and it will be very unfair if the UK store doesn't get them too.

GAME UK is getting the pre-order bonus. It's not listed on their site (for some reason. Bioware still haven't announced the international pre-orders so that may be why...) but not only have various gaming press sites mentioned it, GAME themselves (through their official twitter and facebook pages) have confirmed that they will be getting them.

I don't know what to think anymore.

That's worrying. I've seen it confirmed three times by GAME (Facebook, Twitter and the store manager I spoke with yesterday) but now I'm not sure what's going on. It would be nice if BioWare could confirm the international pre-order bonuses so we can get this mess sorted out.

I saw the CE was gone from the site and i went straight on the phone to them and asked if my preorder was still there and it is so those who have it ordered already then your fine.

If I pre-order a CE of ME3 online from GameStop US, will they give me the redemption codes for the N7 Warfare Gear and the M55 Rifle pre-order bonuses?

I see Origin in the Netherlands has the N7 Warfare Gear as a pre-order bonus too! Will this unlock the items on Xbox 360 and PS3 as well, or just on PC? Note that Origin is only a digital distibutor in the Netherlands and you can't buy the console versions on it.

I contacted Gamestop customer support with this very question in mind. I got this reply:

"Dear Valued Customer, 

Thank you for contacting GameStop.com 

This pre-order offer is available to all pre-orders while supplies last. Unfortunately we don't know if you would be able to redeem it if you live outside of the U.S. We recommend contacting the manufacture for more information on his matter. 

If you have anymore questions please feel free to respond to this e-mail." 

So they will send you the code(s) but they don't know if you can redeem them outside of the US. That is a question for EA customer support, I think.

I've had my order in for a long time because I knew they were limited and I didn't want to deliberate too long, or I'd end up being in the situation similar to that of the Halo Reach legendary edition.... But what I find curious is that the product isn't listed on the Game site at all, even though there is specifically a tick box that automatically remains unchecked near the bottom of the listings, asking if you want sold out products to be removed from the search... That's why I got worried/confused.

Don't worry, I asked Mr Priestly and as far as he knows, the codes aren't region locked, so getting codes from Gamespot shouldn't be a problem for people in other regions.

Anyone know if the online GAME in UK is shipping the CE to other countries? I'm asking because I saw that GAME has an weight restriction, which is 1000g. If the CE weights more than that, they will only ship to the UK.

I've already pre-ordered the Standard Edition of ME3 from Gamestop, because the Xbox360 version of the Collector's Edition was sold out over there. If they get more in stock later, and I cancel my order in favor of pre-ordering the Collector's Edition instead, will I still get the pre-order bonuses?
