not happy about the lack of armor for amazon.com folk. So if I want cool armor, I need to pre-order from crappy gamestop? Thumbs down marketing!

Agreed, I Pr-Ordered from Amazon when you could first do so and am saddended by the Gamespot only Amror/Valk.  eBay scares me a little to try and grab the physica copies at a later date...

Hi, USA PC question here. Is there any way to get all the dlc with 1
purchase? Or does it come down to origin for all but the N7 Warfare, and
gamestop for all but the origin shotgun?

I also wasn't sure if
the gamestop digital deluxe would have the n7 warfare, as the physical
copy is no longer available online or at the stores.

Looking back on the pre-order bonuses from ME2, I am skeptical that they will come out with some DLC that will offer the N7 armor/Valk at a later time.  ME2's Collector Armor/Rifle wasn't released as a DLC unless I'm sorely mistaken.

I just spoke with local area Gamestops and the only way you can get physical copies here in the US is to hope someone cancels.  Folks have 48hrs to claim their pre-orders so check with your local Gamestops to see if they have any extras 2 days after release and hope for the best.

Soriah wrote...

i dont think so. as for whether the gamestop digital version will have
the N7 warfare gear it should be on the product page if it is, if its
not there then maybe contact them and ask although if its not on the
product page then id say no.

Just looked and was informed that Gamestop has no copies available online or in stores for either Digital or physical.

Damn, I knew I should've preordered this back in December. I was just too lazy to walk up to Gamestop... and I was going to get the Collector's Edition too. Now they're all sold out... I take it there's no hope of any more being released?

Doubt it, I spoke with a rep and they've stopped taking orders online and in stores.  Gamestop reached their alloted limit.  Would appear that if you want a physical copy of the CE nowadays you'll have to scout out eBay, Amazon(after the release) or stop at your local Gamestop after release day and hope someone cancelled or neglected to pick up their copy. :(

I pre-ordered my CE yesterday, I walked into gamespot and chatted with one of the guys and he's like you're lucky by tomorrow we would have stopped taking pre-orders for the Collectors edition. >_> I was like then I would have been forced to treck to hmv, and that's no fun it's farther away. Even though for some reason HMV gives me these weird discounts, like 20 euro off for no apparent reason.

Well good news (for me), apparently you can still order the CE from BestBuy online. Now I just have to decide between getting the CE at BestBuy or the preorder bonuses at Gamestop... I know the CE comes with extra content but I have read that it may or may not be an extra character and mission, anyone know if this has been confirmed? Also will the GameStop N7 armor (only thing that really makes me think about sticking with that over the CE, also the price) and the other guns be available for download later on?

Going through the mass effect wikia page, I've noticed something about the retail bonus items. I'm planning to pre-order the N7 Digital Deluxe edition and under the list of items checked, the N7 Valkyrie and N7 Defender Armor are checked, plus there's a side-note saying that these are currently announced for EA Origin(Poland and Singapore), but when I checked the regional Origin site(India), both these items are checked as available with the DD edition. Can anyone clear this up? Also, in order to play ME3 I'm going to have to download and install the Origin software, aren't I? Anyone know if you have to be connected to the net for the entire length of the game? I feel kinda hesitant to leave my system connected for the duration that i'll be playing the game.

P.S: This is the first time I'm ordering any game online, so I'd be grateful to anyone who clears up another one of my doubts. After pre-ordering the copy of ME3 through Origin, will I receive a confirmation e-mail with the download link attached? Also, does anyone know if EA has a proper help center so that I can contact them if anything doesn't seem right with the order?

you only need to be connected to the internet when activating the game for the 1st time, after that the only time you need to be connected to the inter while playing is when your playing the miltiplayer part of the game. For the single player/main game you wont need to be on internet at all.
dont worry about whether you will get the dlc, if the product page on the origin store says you will get them you should get them, they dont really update the wiki page much, not until the game gets released.

Thanks again for clarifying that, hate to bother you again but will the download be resumable? I'd hate to download half the game on day 1 and then have to start all over the next day. Also, the download is going to be the setup for the game, right? and not a direct install from the internet?

yes you can download half one day then the rest the next day, you can also re-download the game at any time if you ever uninstall it from your pc (say when you do a reformat). You basically download the game from EA/Origins servers and then it will get installed onto your pc. Its basically like any other game that gets installed from a disk but then after that the disk isnt needed to play it, the download and installation will be whats normally on a disk. Id call Origin the game's disk tbh. Thats the easiest way i can explain it tho its my opinion, i could be wrong as ive always tried to get physical versions of any game i buy.

I have a few questions regarding the N7 Warfare Gear. I am from Romania, and I pre-ordered from my local retailer a few weeks ago, just in time to secure one copy of the Collector's Edition. So far so good. But then, they came around saying they won't give the pre-order bonus due to some region policy you guys seem to have. I looked into the faq on the official site and, yes, it said that a region list will be coming soon. What I don't understand is this: Why the region restriction? Last year there were absolutely no problems with the Terminus Armor and the Blackstorm Gun. I just want what is rightfuly mine as a customer, since I chose to buy this game, instead of getting it from the torrents. Thank you.

bonus codes dont normally get sent out til the release date even if you get the item early. most retailers send the products in time so you would get the product either on release day or a day or 2 before, its wierd u got it a week early but as the site said feb 21st as the release date id say you will get it it then and if not on the 22nd you can contact the retailer for it.

I'm a new poster (usually I lurk) and I've been playing ME since it came out on the 360 years ago and it's my fav game series. Even though I've been lurking I can't seem to find answers to the questions I have and this thread is 40+ pages so I won't be able to go through it all. If some of the seasoned vets or someone with the answers can answer my questions it would be great.

1. Since I can no longer preorder the CE (I only wanted it for the in game content) is there anyway I can get all of the CE in game content?

2. Is there any info pertaining to the length of the CE mission?

3. I've read that there will be day one DLC, is this a rumor or is this true? If true, what is it? Is it the CE in game content?

Thanks a million people,

THE LORD

OK in answer to your questions:

1. Probably not, the bonus char and mission will be available later on as a seperate DLC but everything else is CE exclusive and i doubt they will release it as dlc in the future but who knows for sure. But if you want it on PC and you only want it for the in game content why not order the digital delux version from Origin. Its the exact same thing as the CE.

2. nope and i doubt they will give out any info on it at all and let us find out for ourselves

3. yes the bonus char and mission will be made a seperate DLC for all consumers who only bought the standard edition of the game. Plus i have a feeling there will be some more DLC in the future for ME3 but they havent said anything much about it, ive only seen rumours or something on the net that they were thinking of DLC ideas already.

Only just finished playing the demo on PC, and I've found a few bugs in it. Shepard "passes" through the Med station during the Salarian home base mission. Also, when activating Shepard's melee attack using the Omni-sword, the Cerberus agents don't properly line up for the kill. Hoping such issues aren't present in the full game.

Damn it. I hate how people force you to download something you don't need to get something. In order for me to play the demo, I need to download Origin? I don't need Origin, I have Steam, sorry. One digital database program is enough for me, thanks. I'm just gonna wait til I can pick up my pre-order.

don't know if it's been posted but...

If you DL and play the demo of Kingdoms of Amaular (or wherever) from origin it activates a special set of armour for ME3, doubt it will be much, but i want all the ME3 stuff i can get.

Cheers.

Hey there, having a slight issue with preorder bonus DLC here in New Zealand. I've preordered the N7 Collector's Edition of Mass Effect 3 with the retailer EB Games, but they seem to have "reserved" the preorder DLC for their exclusive "Omniblade Edition" of the game, which I think is a self-made promotion. There's absolutely no mention of N7 Collector's Edition customers receiving the DLC, in fact the only preorder incentive released is a poster. Every time I go in to ask, the staff dodge my questions!

I'm wondering, are all preorder customers entitled to the preorder bonus assigned to this retailer, or is it OK that they've commandeered it for their own marketing purposes? If the former, how can I ensure that I'll receive my preorder code?

This is a link to the "Omniblade Edition" (360 copy) http://www.ebgames.c...dition-Xbox-360
