Generate the characters you want and start a multiplayer game. Save the game and then move the save from the multiplayer save folder to the normal save folder. You can now continue the game in single player format.
Note that depending on the version of the game you're using and whether you're using the BG2 engine through Tutu or BGT you may have to put the game into windowed mode (using config program) before being able to start a multiplayer game.

Thanks mate....but i found out how to do it few hours before your post. The problem was the Win7 and i had it in fullscreen. Tried to start New game at Multi but all i got was a black screen then thought to switch it to window ( Alt+Enter ) and it just started.
Another question: To start the multiplayer you have to make a full grp of 6 players. I want to do a group of 4 and have the other 2 for their quests and then leave them just for the xp because those are characters specific quests. Can i make somehow 4 and start the game and take the other 2 along the way or i have to make a grp of 6 and dump the 2 of the 6 for the new ones???

You can have as many characters as you want, i.e. you could start a multiplayer game with 1. The problem will be that the button to start the game won't light up until you have selected all the characters on the screen. If you want fewer than 6 just create that many and select them all.
