One question that anyone has yet to ask or answer on bioware pulse, bioware social net., interviews, panel questions, etc. is this........... if there are no permenant squad members, which has been stated numerous times in many ME3 articles, how are we as fans going to have a chance to build on the relationships (romances) that we started with Mass Effect 2 squadmates if they are not on the Normandy with us? is every individual character's mission going to be as long and as in depth as lair of the shadow broker was with Liara's romance plot? is Jack going to have a lair of the shadow broker style and length mission? is Miranda? is Jacob? is Thane? is Kelly? and even if they did Bioware will probably find some way to screw us at the end of that mission just so they can limit us to Kaidan/Ashley, Garrus, Tali, Liara, and Vega by possibly having your ME2 lover either die or end the relationship because of the war or some crap cheap way out. I don't want a freaking letter from Miranda and Jack or some cheap one part mission just to save voice actor funds I want full blown sit down and talk about our relationship, lets go save the galaxy together drama not some cheap way to limit us to 5 or 6 default squadmates. Look what happened to Wrex, Kaidan and Ashley's characters in ME1, either one of those people could have died and look how Bioware placed them in ME2's story...... crappy cameo roles and a letter come on, so do you guys really think that suicide mission would net anything different from that in ME3? I am not convinced no matter what they say. We should have a choice of who joins us on the normandy this time around meaning a choice between everyone we have had on the normandy with us before in ME1 and ME2 and maybe a few extras like Gianna, Aria, and or Shiala or something. I am not saying give us 12 or 13 slots I am saying maybe give us 5 or 6 slots and have the fan make the choice out of the ME1 and ME2 surviving companions and or npcs we have encountered, that would be alot more rich and rewarding. What if you could pick your own favorite crew but only be given a set number of Team members like say you chose Jacob over Vega or a romanced Jack over a none romanced Ashley? that is what i am talking about. Look at your screen shots and your videos people all I have seen running around with Shep. is Garrus, Liara, Vega, a little screen shot of Tali and Legion driving some Geth tank or something, come on now Biofreakingware give me some meat with my potatos MIRANDA, GRUNT, THANE, SAMARA, JACOB, ARIA, ZAEED, KASUMI, KAIDAN, Mordin and Wrex seem as though they got the shaft already. Come on give me some highlights your not going to ruin the story if you say "hey Kasumi is a love interest or hey Thane makes a Cameo appearance or hey Miranda and Jack are temporary mates" uh oh the whole game is ruined if you guys just say that oh my. Come on Bioware give the fans what they want and I highly doubt its just Kaidan, Ashley, Liara, Garrus, Tali, and some random soldier.......give me a break. From what I have read there are alot of Liara, Garrus, and Tali fans out there which is cool they are great characters and have been with Shep. since the beginning but i mean come on show some love for the "Dirty Dozen" as Casey refrences the ME2 crew I certainly love every suicide mission character personally along with everyone from ME1 as well so no complaints about anyone from me but I want to chose my 5 or 6 mates not be limited. But after hearing Casey state that "12 members in a squad was far to big" I don't have alot of faith if any at all in Bioware's handling of Shep's ME2 Team for ME3. The Mass Effect 3 Game Informer article said that the ME2 character's were not introduced into the Mass Effect Universe just to get swept under the rug in ME3 well I don't really believe that I think that is a lie and on March 6 that lie will come out of the wash.

Okay, without any spoilers the squad mates are those you've confirmed there plus two others. And yes none of them will be Mass Effect 2 characters, beacuse Bioware decided against permanent ME2 charcters for some reason...

The Normandy will be fully crewed again. It hasn't been confirmed if peoople like Kelly and Chakwas will be returning. But i've heard talk that you'll now get a coms specialist on the ship etc. The Normandy will also be regularly visited by VIP's and diplomats and such.

I haven't looked into the Wrex/Wreav thing. From what i've heard it doesn't sound like he'll be a temp or a permanent. Just a straight up NPC. Which is a shame I think

Bioware have said all relationships from prior games carry over, so if you tried to romance Samara, this will come back in ME3

Agree there. 

The feeling is, that although they couldn't have included EVERY character from each game, they could have spread it evenly. 

Say, 3 ME1 squaddies back and 3 ME2 squaddies back. That way it doesn't the ME2 squad feel redundant. Which they do for, me. It seems they were only hired help in ME2.

I've heard from people who have read the leak that most of the characters are getting great character development, regardless of being on the squad or not, so no one is really getting shafted (that I've heard of). Would I prefer certain squadmates to be permanent in the third, yes, but as long as they get the development their character story deserves, then I'm a happy. To me, their personal development is more important than trying to figure out some way to fit them into the squad without messing up the story.

Even with some of the characters that have fairly obvious squad potential, but aren't in it anyway.

I wouldn't call it awesome, but it was certainly better than VS or Liara.

Of course, through metagaming we learn why Liara can't join the squad, and it's a good enough reason.
