It's weird how you two are talking like you're in PMs and not an actual thread. And I don't know how you can somehow think that there haven't already been many threads complaining about the ME3 squad. Believe me, the topic is not a new one.

My bad I am guilty as charged.

I loved Tali, Liara and Garrus and am really glad they're back. The Virmire Survivor is also a nice addition. I have nothing against a nice happy Mass Effect 1 renuion just in time for a Reaper attack.

I wasn't talking to you at all; I was talking to the two people talking about making a ME3-squad complaint thread as if it was some novel idea and hadn't already been done a dozen times.

they certainly do, which is why I don't like knowing them. I'd rather have the sensation of getting punched in the gut like I had when certain characters died on the suicide mission, even on Virmire when I knew someone was going to die, than know for certain how to avoid it on the first go around.

In a secret group I am in (shhhh) haha, there are others who agree with me. But Dean_The_Young who talks a lot of sense mentioned in a post (it may have been him) said that the people who will flame are Team Dextro fans, Liara fans and characters who have made it into the game.

If you support me, I may consider making it ;-)

Wat chu talkin' bout, Willis?

Never said it was novel, putting words in people's mouth is a terrible trait to possess.

Also, i said i wasn't going to post it due to the flaming i would get!
@Abraham Pm me if you want to talk spoiler, you have much to learn.

Back on topic,

The ME3 squad is the worst, the more i think about it.

Put it this way, The ME1 squad has been give almost exclusive rights to the Me3 squadmate spaces. No look in from the ME2 squad. Ignored.

No where in the thread did either of us mention that this squad complaint thread would be a "novel" or "new" idea or some sort of weird innovative thread as if we work for Apple. It was just a suggestion tbh, i'm quite suprised effected you so badly haha

Yeah I know, I agree with you on that stuff. I have no idea who's going to die and big plot twists like that, but it's nice to enter the game with a sense of knowing what you're getting in terms of charcter presence and stuff like that, just so you don't get your hopes up too far just to get them crushed when the game comes out.

But you're porbably wiser than me avoiding them tbh haha :)

It didn't "affect me so badly", I just found it weird is all.

Still, my sense of curiosity is killing me! I wouldn't say that the ME3 squad is the worst out of the games, but "the best" will be determined if each character is given more depth due to the trimming down.

Holy f*ck. Holy, holy f*ck.

I had heard something about it but... How is it possible? How will it look? I don't know if it's a good idea, or a terrible idea. I will not be able to make my mind up until I see it.

<Spoiler>: I had read something about her telling Vega to "stop checking out her behind" or something like that =D But I thought she would get an hologram update, like Cortana or something, which would be great. But a... An actual platform? Holy f*ck.

Well, if they make it femenine, guys will have a robot to consider sexy. And then my complicated feelings for Legion will not be considered weird anymore...
</spoiler>

All will be well.

Also, I think it's kinda early to compare the ME3 squad to the other two. Things may surprise us... For better or for worse.

Yeah I'm with you on this one. personally I wasn't a fan of ME2, but I guess the plot wasn't really condussive to having an "in depth squad".  It's in biowares court at this point to really pull through on this, but either way I'll have my answer March 6th.

Liara was innocent in ME1. Did you really think someone like her could stay that way and not mature after the events she went through in ME1? Her personality in ME2 was fine.

Anyway i hated ME1 cast aside from Wrex, Garrus, & Liara....Oh god if they really aren't bringing back some ME2 crew as squadmates. Worst. Squad. Ever.

Hey. HEY. Don't compare Legion with an inanimate object. That's just offensive.

Also, "toaster"? Racial slur, so don't even think about it.

So we have:

soldier OR biotics and tech
biotics
soldier and tech
tech
soldier
tech (probably)
biotic (probably)

I think that sounds reasonable.

Also, on the subject of one of the squadmates being "Collector's edition" exclusive. That doesn't make any sense. Collectors Editions are limited editions, it wouldn't make sense to create an entire Character and story exclusive to only a few.

DLC? Sure. If it's day one and/or free, even better. But an entire character is way too much for a Collector's bonus. Unless they plan on making it downloadable for everybody later or something.

This would make logistical sense
But I think a squad of nine would be the perfect amount, so two more charcters, that way you can have a few class double ups and switch in and out the ones you prefer. RPG = choice after all

The prothean might not even be all that significant. I think it SHOULD be...but how the hell is bioware going to tie in something like that, especially if not everyone is going to get it. it seems cool but...pretty gimmicky at the same time.

He could be like Zaeed or Kasumi. He would have his own mission, and then he'll just comment on things. Without having a vital role on the fight against the Reapers. Just one cool 50,000 year old biotic character Shepard can recruit.

If by "comment on things" you mean the one-way conversations like Zaeed and Kasumi had, you'd be wrong. He's got full conversations, with both Shepard and others.

Yeah, I kinda hoped they wouldn't do the same thing again with ANY character, so I didn't even mention it.
