He could be like Zaeed or Kasumi. He would have his own mission, and then he'll just comment on things. Without having a vital role on the fight against the Reapers. Just one cool 50,000 year old biotic character Shepard can recruit.

Quote of the day right there! Haha!

Garrus, Tali, the VS, Liara, Vega and a certain fanfic-pull make up the confirmed base squad. The certain 50,000 year old biotic powerhouse may or may not be DLC, it's too vauge within the script to discern. My theory is that there is a different DLCmate that is currently unknown.

Any news as yet? No, none recently. Shame to see they completley disregarded the ME2 squad for potential squadmates.

For me, worst squad out of the three games.

For everyone else, it seems not. Oh well, so be it.

Amen pal. I'm with you on this. It's like the BioWare devs completely forgot that there was also a fanbase for ME2 squadmates altogether, which is the reason why I'm considering if this will be the last BioWare game I purchase. If they're going to do this again with another franchise, then count me out. I still don't think the Suicide Mission is a valid excuse for such reasoning. It should have been up to the player to pick who they wanted on their squad, out of the ones that survived. Whether or not they care about what people like me think is pretty much useless at this point, but I can definitely guaranteed that they will get some flack for this by those who feel like me once ME3 is out. And I'd be extremely surprised if the reviews for this game make zero mention of this point.

What are you refeering to when you say Battlestar Galactica? Seriously please explain!!!!!

Legion (is that what you're refeering to when you say Battlestar Galactica)?

:) Haha - They are referring to the voice actor for EDI - Tricia Helfer.  Tricia played Number Six on Battlestar Galactica, who is basically a sexy robot. That's why when you see some fan art of EDI, you see a blonde woman in a red dress as that is what Tricia's Battlestar character was often seen in.

Correctamundo! (I pm'd you Abraham)

The word you're looking for is correctamente. Not correctamundo. That word doesn't exist in Spanish Lexicography. Why do you people insist that adding an o at the end of any word automatically makes it a Spanish word?

thats cool...never knew the CE character would be a squad mate.

**SPOILERS!!**

& I can't remember what thread it was but some people who read the script said the new female SM was from ME1 and would not be an LI.

Any ideas on who?

I honestly have no idea.  I can't think of any women from ME1 off the top of my head that could possibly fit as a SM.  Maybe this person has biotics though?  So far that's been lacking in the Squad released for ME3.

I know who the two secret squadmates are. Do you want me to PM you?

I'd like to know as well. Could I get PMed as well? Please?

Agree there Alex, the squad is one of the worst aspects of ME3. I was going to open a topic with with the title "ME3 squad, worst squad yet?" but i would get flamed too much.

Ahh, fan of Mordin Solus and Thane Krios (did they get married then?). Why is everyone having a go at the ME 3 squad, the ones I know of from ME 1 were great in my honest opinion.

What is all this about EDI sexbot that people keep talking about? Seriously, where did that come from? Is there any pictorial evidence of this? Show me a picture. I really can't see what the big deal is, since I don't think she'll be portrayed in quite that manner. The character 6 was a lot more complicated than being a sexbot. That was an aspect of the character and it helped that she was very attractive. But there was so much depth behind the character.

Tracy's 6 and Tracy's EDI are not blonde bimbos. They're well written characters backed by creative and artistic vision that makes sence in their given contexts.

Yeah, key word there, YOU'RE OPINION. Not everyone's. Some of you here don't speak for those of us who prefer the ME2 squad.

Get used to it, cuz it's the ME1 squad with two new people.

I'm doing more than getting used to it.

I loved the Mass Effect 1 squad. Shame some of the Mass Effect 2 crew are cameos/one mission only squadmates. It would be nice to see Kasumi back.

Anway. Mass Effect 1 squad. ^_^:lol::o:wizard: Why not?

YES! Another push for Kasumi:wub:!!!!! WOO!

I reckon Miranda will be brought in as a temp squad mate to help fight Cerberus at one point. since she would know more than Shepard and could help bring Cerberus down.

Yessss, I agree with this. Considering the diversity of the ME squad mates it would have been far more logical to just let us choose which we wanted to recruit. This way we wont be stuck with a bunch we don't care about (my current situation). I liked the days of "there are no permanent squad mates" if they had genuinely done this it would have been very intresting.

Yeah! I'm shocked Miranda isn't a squaddie already tbh... I thought considering her huge fan base she would have been an obvious choice :/

Why the hell introduce 10 awesome squadmates in ME2, just to disregard them in ME3!? Makes no sense... Jeeez... I have a generall feeling after another thread, most people seemed to prefer ME2 squad over ME1... Don´t know for sure though
Should have just stick to one squad throughout the triology, so we ( I ) wouldn´t be ****ing about it now.

They're not disregarding the ME2 squad. Quite the opposite. They're getting a huge amount of attention (again) in ME3.

First i've heard about them getting lots of attention, most people who have read the script have said their roles are practicaly cameos. I haven't read the script myself so I can't say for sure... but on general consensus...

To expect them all to be squadmates is just stupid, because then BioWare would have to balance and figure out new powers for about 19 squadmates, and I think that's time that could be better spent somewhere else.

Sure, they'll mostly get the same deal of attention as Mordin in the Sur'Kesh level (which doesn't stop there and some of them will get even more), but I think that's enough.

I think Mordins overall screen time equates to about 8-9 minues in the demo, haha :L if there's a bit more after I would imagine a total of about 13-14 minutes. If this is all the Mass Effect 2 characters are getting then I think that's a really poor effort tbh... it's just lazy.

I thik asking them all to be squad mates is unrealistic, but allowing them to travel with us for a couple of planets would be nice.

@someone with mass.

I know they couldn't put every character in there, but putting almost ALL ME1 characters in and NO Me2 squaddies in. Cameos is nice yes, but to have NO Me2 squaddies back in is poor IMO.

Mordin has much more screentime than that.

There's another conflict and planet he'll help Shepard with.

damn, I was hoping Miranda would be confirmed too. I wanted to have at least one playthrough with her as my ME3 interest.

Her not being a permanent squadmate in no way prevents her from being your LI; much as it didn't stop anyone from continuing their romance Liara in ME2.

Keep em comming. But yeah it is pretty effed up that returning perma squadies are all from ME1 .Wrex was the only ME1 squadmember, who I actually liked. Oh wait he is the only one who is left out dang. Can't I exchange VS for Kasumi, Vega for Thane and saaaay(noofence guys) Garrus for Legion? That would be nice.
