Any news as yet? No, none recently. Shame to see they completley disregarded the ME2 squad for potential squadmates.
For me, worst squad out of the three games.
For everyone else, it seems not. Oh well, so be it.
Amen pal. I'm with you on this. It's like the BioWare devs completely forgot that there was also a fanbase for ME2 squadmates altogether, which is the reason why I'm considering if this will be the last BioWare game I purchase. If they're going to do this again with another franchise, then count me out. I still don't think the Suicide Mission is a valid excuse for such reasoning. It should have been up to the player to pick who they wanted on their squad, out of the ones that survived. Whether or not they care about what people like me think is pretty much useless at this point, but I can definitely guaranteed that they will get some flack for this by those who feel like me once ME3 is out. And I'd be extremely surprised if the reviews for this game make zero mention of this point.
Yessss, I agree with this. Considering the diversity of the ME squad mates it would have been far more logical to just let us choose which we wanted to recruit. This way we wont be stuck with a bunch we don't care about (my current situation). I liked the days of "there are no permanent squad mates" if they had genuinely done this it would have been very intresting.

I agree with you. I preferred the ME 2 squad completely compared to the first game. First game was pretty crap in a lot of areas like combat compared to ME 2. I just hope we get to complete all of the story arcs big and small. I want to save the Krogan with Grunt at my side!
Screw Vega! Though spoiler character sounds cool.

I like the ME2 squad the best overall myself.

I heard from a script-reading info-source she will likely be a continueable romance that you meet several times throughout the game.

She will not be a part of the squad, although she has a hefty amount of content available.
Mainly involving Cerberus and her father. Saying anything more is spoiler territory.
So far, the content that's been shown is pretty good, though I'll admit I'm sore for not having her as a squadmate.

She was a poster girl, a crude term, of ME2. For her not to be, and Battlestar Galatica is, for me (although not a massive miranda fan) a poor choice. Miranda would have been a far better choice, and much more sensible.

In full agreement.
I still don't understand BioWare's mentality on it (Yeah she can die, but so can Garrus and Tali, and they got squad status.)

I would have liked Miranda over Ash myself . I couldn't stand the attitude of Ash in ME1 (and I would have let her die, if Kaiden wouldn't such a goob). Her actions on Horizon was the last straw for me.
I'll just make her pay for it in ME3, if I must.

Oh come one, Ash wasn't bad in ME1, and some of her dialogue in ME3 is good too. Some of it is fairly cheesy, but that's sort of to be expected.
I won't mention Horizon, since both her and Kaidan say the same exact thing.
I'd still rather have Miranda back though<3
