Nice, that's another tree brutally cut down to make another rubbish comic to add to the bin. Atleast we get to see more about James.

You are still pissed about that volcano on Thera roflstomping your kingdom/civilization some millenia ago, eh, Minos?
That's what you get for collecting all of your resources in palaces and claiming that your ships are all the walls you'll need, ol' boy.

Say hi to that pet bull of your wife, by the way.

I hope he doesn't have anger problems this time and does something else than beating people just for the lulz.

Right.  Because bar fights are known to happen for sound, sensible reasons.

To be fair ripping a t.v. off the wall isn't exactly stable behavior even when its your own property. Personally, while the comic did make me interested in vega (although only the last part where he will be guarding shep) I personally don't think it was very flattering to vega.

I mostly blame it on how little dialogue room they had in the comic.

The comments are all really harsh on that website. It's...a little ridiculous. We don't know anything about him - wish people wouldn't judge based on looks.

Besides...there's no muscular men in the ME series so far. I don't think it'd kill anyone to include at least one..they have a "babe" with countless @ss shots (Miranda) and there's nothing against her. I like her character despite the incredibly tight (for obvious reasons) outfit.

I agree that Vega's actions were uncalled for, but the batarians escalated that fight way beyond what it should have been.

Besides...he did pay for the t.v.

I was just about to say, "What happened to the -tion suffix?".

But anyways, I'm really happy with ME: Invasion, it was a definate improvement over Evolution. I'm excited for this, and I hope this is the ongoing ME comic series that BioWare was wanting to release.

IDW called and told them to stop because of they thought it was ripping off their original Transformers series: Infiltration, Escalation, Devastation, and the God-awful Transformers: Revelation.  Image IPBImage IPB

Cue horde complaining how you don't understand how it's messing up their characters in the game and trashing their game lore.

The comics though do leave a lot to be desired in both artistic and writing quality.

Now, imagine if Mass Effect comics were worked on by the same people working on Stephen King's The Stand.  Anyone who complained would be insane.  I'm not saying that BioWare doesn't take the adaptations to their game seriously, but there are obviously some issues on knowing and negotiating talent in other industries.

That's my problem.  The comics are such low quality and Bioware is still following the same formula.  I agree with you on The Stand.  I'd rather have fewer ME comics that are better quality than be spammed by these crappy ones.  Why won't Bioware fix their approach?

It's a common problem when adapting anything to a new medium.  The best game adaptation of a film is probably King Kong, while of comics it's the Batman: Arkham W/E series.  Eric Nylund remains to be the only one to bring quality writing in adapting a game franchise, specifically the Halo series.  The list can go on and on.  But these few shining (and not so shining but still quality) examples are surrounded by a mess of gutted hopes and dreams.

The problem is being able to find, and afford, the best in those fields, all the while hoping that they attempt to the material true to the source.  While I can't really say that those who've worked on adaptations for ME are not talented people, I can say that have a horrible knack of not editing and/or referring to the source material when they make aesthetic or informative choices.

A big part of the problem is the talent within Dark Horse, which isn't quite up to where it used to be several years ago.  They are a great publisher and easy to work with, but the in-house talent leaves much to be desired when compared to a company such as Image.

None of the major publishers (Dark Horse, Marvel, DC, IDW, and Image) don't have any in-house styles. And FTR Image is just a group of smaller publihers and comic book creators that work under a label.

Now if you want to see a really bad drawn comic read the EA Comics/IDW released debacled called: Dragon Age the artists looked liked they didn't even bother to play the game, it looked they saw a few concept drawings.

Mass Effect artist Omar Francia has stated that he played the games and is a big fan of the games.

The only thing that turns me down from Vega is how broad he is, I know muscled men blah blah but he looks like he was pumped with steroids since birth, Dang his model in game looks funny too, it could also be his shirt.

Suprhomre - Yeah I would like that too. His execution could be that he rips off a random tv from a wall and starts attacking enemies with it. His sprint could be unique as well like he would run on all fours with spit dribbling out of his mouth like a rabid bear. For a detailed video representation, type in Sandy Cheeks Hibernation. On a serious note I am curious about him and hope he is a cool guy and not a naive little child.
