is it possible to mod the faces of Hawke and the siblings during Varric's exaggerated opening? (I've seen and have mods that do so with the clothes). I have the ERF pack and the face replacer and all the .mor files so I know how to get everything to work after the opening but again, what about during? I'm really just looking to remove the blood smear on Hawke.

If you have a carver/bethany mod in your game, it will change them, since you are 'setting' their appearance with the mod. It also alters Carver's GW armor, though I think Bethany's is default (I don't remember). Not sure the champion's face can be modded without changing some kind of code in the game picking the 'preset' since it's default Hawke, not player-made Hawke.

Yeah I have the mod that lets me change Carver and Bethany's armor in the opening. My face mods for them kicks in after the opening but it looks like modding the opening itself isn't currently possible I guess.

What you want to do is make the new headmorphs you want, and then save them as "hf_bethany" and "hm_carver" and "hf_iconicfemale" or "hm_iconicmale." Drop those in an erf in your override folder.
Since all you want to do is remove the blood smear you could just export "hf_iconicfemalenomark" and rename it without the nomark bit at the end, that would be quickest and simplest.
