I have been trying forever to sneak past the quards at the top of the stairs, but I get caught every time. I am extemely frustrated by now. Can anyone tell me the trick? Thanks

Guys, when can you play Mark of the Assassin, is it at anytime? or just when you've finished the main story. The reason I ask is because my the information i have says go to Hawke's estate and look for a momento, but i cant find it anywhere, so i checked that it was installed properley, and i have a message in brackets next to the name of the downloaded content that says (unauthorised) v1.0

You can play it any time after you have access to Gamlen/Amell house.
