Where do I find this critical rebuild patch?

My son recently got this game for Christmas. My husband tried installing it a couple of times. I then found out about the compatibility issues and that I needed to find a patch to make it work. Anyone know where to point me in the right direction please. So want this to work for my son...

Not sure what "compatibility patch" there is for NWN2.
There is a Critical Rebuild patch for NWN. Is that the game you have?
If you are looking for a NWN2 patch, it would help if you could tell us where you bought the game and what error message you are getting (what's happening instead of the game working?).
From that information, someone from the Community will be able to help you in the right direction (for either NWN2 or NWN).
