Skyrim released their texture pack recently, so anyone think Bioware is going to surprise us by releasing a texture pack with ME3?

No. Skyrim has a lot more PC players.

Both ME games is console ports and using only 256 mb of video memory.
Even MW3 using about 1gb on pc (with aa)
It seems like ME team dont really care about PC version.

They're not ports.  Well, ME1 was, ME2 wasn't.  ME2 was multiplatform.  However, the assets couldn't be too far out because they came from a shared pool of resources and it'd hamper the 360 version if they used things only the PC version could handle, so they struck a middle ground in development.  Ports require downgrading or upscaling, multiplat games don't.

They released one for DA2, though it was a different team.  The Mass Effect team seems to be full of console zealots.

Most of the textures are already at a higher resolution during development.  They just compress them to optimize for consoles.  DA2 High Res Texture pack simply released those higher res textures for the PC crowd.  There is absolutely no good reason they can not do this for ME3 other then someone not wanted to package them up into an executable.

Anyway, if BioWare doesn't release one (which I'm pretty sure they won't, but I've been wrong before) I'm guessing a there will be a fanmade one quite soon after.

Unless, somehow, the textures are miraculously marvelous, but I highly doubt that, too.

Oh yeah, a high texture pack for ME3 would be definitely sweat
But I don't think it will be done, sadly.

Remember how Bioware was criticized for ME1 for PC, because the interface and controls were better than the XBox version?
This is the same case.

Dedicated, sound proof drywall, all speaker wire and power run in the walls.  Calibrated plasma and 5.1 audio, power theater chairs.

Yup...took a few years (and wife acceptance factor) but it is worth it.  Gaming in 5.1 surround as loud as you want on a monster PC is incredible.  THAT is why I push hard for high res textures, folks.

There really is no good reason not to, there never has been. They either don't care or are too lazy.

I would love one. I mean, they have the textures, they just have to take one for the team and have a few people package it as dlc.

This really should be a standard operating procedure since consoles are after all a 7 year old last-gen decrepit hardware. Why should PC users suffer the stupidity of consoletards?

To be honest I think that ME3 on PC should looks very good, why?
Because we have great looking The Witcher 2, now Skyrim with HR Textures, Deus EX: HR etc., so ME3 will be NEWER title than this all up mentioned games so it should have best graphics, also as a game released in 2012...
But I doubt it will happen ;-/

Well, even with high res textures, I would never expect a Bioware game to lead the pack in graphical advancement.  But, I WOULD like to see them throw us PC users a bone and release the files that already exist.

No Op PC Players do not deserve any special treatment

^ Truth is little different, really PC gamers are treatment in ''other way'' by many publishers/developers, and console gamers ''now'' are favored than PC gamers.
Today's many PC's can handle HighRes Textures, so why not? ''They'' did it for DA2, Skyrim, Fallout etc. Why not do the same in the probably biggest game of this year? xD

What are you talking about?  Special treatment?  Can you elaborate on that one?

Well then, you may as well say that XBOX players don't deserve the Kinect voice controls.

The Kinect voice controls are amazing, and I understand why they are Kinect only - the technology of the Kinect allows it and it wouldn't be possible/ wouldn't be as good with other voice recognition software.  I'm not saying that Xbox users shouldn't be allowed to use the Kinect voice controls just because other platforms can't.
The same can be applied to high res textures.  The PC can take it, so why shouldn't PC users be allowed them? Because other platforms can't? That's hardly fair.

All we are asking is that our games are as good as they can be.  The textures in ME2 were frightful and if they're just as bad in ME3 it will look nothing like a 2012 release should.

That is true, and it's not as if it will take up any of BioWare's precious time developing the game either. <_<
Not that I think the Kinect did that, but I can see someone bringing that old, well trodden ground up.

I really hope there will be high resolution textures for the PC version of ME3. :?

I want Mass Effect 3 to look as good as possible on my PC. I think most of us would agree on that and I think most of us definitely have the computer to support that without problem.

It would be nice to hear an official statement from Bioware on this. I doubt that we will before the release but I hope. Even though the ME-series is mostly a console series I hope they don't forget PC players.
