It's definition, you have generic settings in most games "low","medium","high"; most pc gamers will agree that "high" does not fit their own definition of high, but there is a high setting, so it's not a lie.Elithranduil wrote...
If this is true, I am very very disappointed.
Why would Bioware say there are Hi-res textures for PC then not put them in?
Couldn't that be construed as lying?
High Res texture pack for ME3?

Atakuma...did you take a look at the files in the full retail release or the Demo? Just curious.

High res texture pack would be great similar to what DA2 got or Skyrim more recently.
The previous ME games could use some better looking textures as well, though I doubt Bioware will go back to tune those games.
Actually I doubt ME3 will get any either, unfortunately. The PC version of ME games have always been pretty lack luster as far as graphical fidelity goes, especially compared to many other devs who put the superior hardware which the platform offers to good use.

While I am a graphics hound, this will not be a problem for me if the story and action are engrossing enough, though what we've seen so far is Xbox and PS3 images and videos, until I see actual PC footage I'll reserve judgement.Atakuma wrote...

Sort of? But there are no texture options.

I think ME had a texture quality setting, but I don't remember if this actually changed textures or was some post-processing setting (or didn't affect level textures but did characters and VFX).
ME2 has no texture setting.
To be truthful, it's not acceptable for Jessica to just say something when she has no idea what she's even talking about. I don't care how unaccountable they are for what they say over Twitter, even when responding officially. It's offensive that she can just hand out BS responses to honest questions and nobody does anything.

i founded this in the config.xml
<string name="MEPageVideoShadowDetail">Dynamic &Shadows</string> <string name="MEPageVideoTextureDetail">&Texture Detail</string>
maybe the texture of the demo was set in medium or something
isnt a High res pack, but at least is some hope, for something that can be better than the stardard/console texture
good news, i think

The texture is bad, especially in dark areas, I have upgrade my video card driver and the game and nothing seens to work.
Take a look at this images, so you can see by yourself:

I tried the brightness ajust in game option and I can't see the "7"

If anyone knows a way to solve this problem, please help-me, perhaps this is not the right place to ask, but I'm tired looking for answers in internet and my english is not good, so I get a little lost in this kind of forum...
Thx from Brasil!
