I've been wondering since the lackluster Skyrim came out, whats for the future of this games story?
Two things I've been waiting and hoping to see a real conclusion too, which given they've said DA3 is a new Champion again it's unlikely to see the endings for these characters in it, maybe to the overal story though.
1. Sebastian, depending on your choice he may promise to go home and build his army to come for you, even if you make the other choices theres still content there in his home and furthering him. I didn't really like him all that much as a character but I still want to see that come to an end.
2. The end, doesn't really feel like an ending, the storyteller mearly catches you up to current times but thats only half the book surely, the champion is still sought after as possibly the only hope to settle the war caused by that action, the consequences of that action varying on your choice, I have a theory that I'd like to see proved or proved wrong either way regarding the build up and the head of one of the sides. Not to mention they are on the "run" new towns, sights, obstacles, it's not like theres nothing there to tell.
Basically I'd like to know if they've confirmed/denied that they will have dlc more related to the main game or more of what they have done so far. Maybe it's a case of they're dropping it due to the rushed main game not being that well recieved and just planning on starting afresh. I haven't yet bought the 3 dlcs or item packs that have been released because I've been waiting to see, I do intend to eventually, as much as the dungeon thing and other aspects of the game that are a let down, it's still no where near the level of Fable and thier DLC's that I will never buy, even skyrim I'll be hesistant purchase any of it's DLC. Still if these things aren't done then I probally will be hesistant to buy DA3 if thats the treatment the story and character get. Maybe they have been and thier hidden in the current DLC's although the descriptions don't make it sound like they are.
Could someone clear up the future DLC and new game for me?

I really hope they finish Hawke's story, whether it's DLC or even DA3. I think it's a good story that can be made epic if they finish it correctly.

They haven't announced anything and have remained tight lipped about it. All we can really say is from various reports it is fairly clear DA3 is underway but the rest nobody really knows.

Damn, I can always hold out hope, awakening quite an exspansive add on to the game was released not that long before 2 and it wasn't as needed to the story as more to DA2's is, wasn't a few of the dlcs released only a month or 2 prior to DA2's release date too? Not unusual to have a team dedicated to DLC while they make a sequel.
Still if it isn't dealt with I'd find it hard to buy a game I'd see little point in committing to the story of if they do give it a few seperate dlcs and then a few lines of text in the next game to summarize an interesting part of the story you don't play. (ie Fable every time...)

We're definitely going to see more Sebastian, Hepler confirmed that his story isn't done.

<sigh> But why? Why create DLC content for a character you can only get via DLC content? When there is so much left undone with the perfectly free characters?

I don't think they are going to DLC more on Sebastian, but he must have a role in DA3.
A new DLC would likely involve the Elves. Fenris and Merrill have been left out of highlighted roles thus far and we have both had Chantry/Dwarves and Quanri adressed in the former.

DA2 is the equivalent of Ostagar in Origins, expanded upon to try and make a whole game out of it.

People are going to be after hawke no matter what. it's just a matter of who and how many. Sebastian may still go after hawke if you didn't download him anyway. Stuff in awakening happened regardless if people played it or not so it may still be the case with sebastian. downloading him may have just gave the player to get to know him and befriend him.
