I beat both me1 and me2 with an adept and now I plan on starting me1 and uploading into me2 so i can play me3 with the same guy but im not sure who to choose from the senelel or infiltrator. The infiltrator looks kool cuz I can cloak in me2 then snipe and use ai hacking but the sentenel has that armor ability and some biotic powers. Any feedback you guys can give would be much appreciated. Thanks much!

Both are awesome, would recommend playing through with both at least once.

That said, my two absolute favourite things to do in the game are vanguard charge and headshot enemies with the widow, so I'd say infiltrator. That said, in 1 I prefer the Sentinel's sheer range of powers and especially the fact it has biotic powers as biotics are so OP in 1 its awesome.

The only advise I can give for this wholeheartedly is:

Play every class at least once.

does a ME1 import make a difference in ME3 as far as starting bonus ?
I never bothered playing it . I'll have a ME2 import in every class though .

You should play all the classes in ME2, each feels very different and to a degree getting good at one makes you better in another.

Not sure about a bonus but it will have a huge impact on story decisions (ending, Wrex status etc). That's way more important to me than any bonus.

(yes I know you can mod-save files, but I like playing through 1 and 2 with the same character, feels more epic that way).

The import bonuses in terms of credits are minerals is almost negligible. The big difference is your starting level:
ME1 Level 60 import starts you at level 5.
ME1 Level 50-59 starts you at level 3.
Forget if lower imports start at level 2 or 1. I think 35-49 start at level 2, and 35 and lower start at level 1.
Importing a Level 50+ character from Mass Effect 1 can be a huge difference for some classes. For example, for the Adept it is the difference between being a Singularity-Warp bomb spammer for the early levels (which can be a pain), or an Adept that uses Singularity, Warp, Pull, and Throw to control the battlefield.

Story decisions carrying over are also a nice bonus.

Between Sentinel and Infiltrator, I recommend Infiltrator since it has a lower learning curve, which is good idea for your first time through Mass Effect 2 so you can learn the new game mechanics.

i know what ME1 does to ME2 , but will it impact ME3 in terms of level bonus ?
I played Genesis to make key decisions about ME1 so that's covered.

Since the classes are basically completely different between the games, and you get to switch classes at the start of ME2, just play ME1 with whatever class you want.

I didn't play Sentinel or Vanguard in ME1. I don't really plan on going back and doing them at this point.

ME2 was different, and I wanted to play all the classes. Part of it is that you get signature powers for each class that aren't available to others. In ME1 basically certain squad members could have whatever powers you had so I didn't feel like I was missing out on much after playing the game and utilizing every power anyway.
