1. mordin. friggin genius. stops collector swarms. cures diseases on omega. great singing voice.
2. miranda. makes shepard better with her passive, debuffs, booty.
3. wrex. i agree, he should be number 1.
4. garrus. never short of being my second favorite ME character, following number3, which should be number 1.
5. ashley. shes my canon LI so i gotta put her in the top 5 or else ill hear it for a week.
6. legion. i have never thought to myself legion isnt the coolest son of a **** in the universe.
7.-10. who cares?

I never considered her, but she is actually one I've never bothered saving, much less getting to know her.

Mordin should be higher. Thane and most definately Jack shouldn't even be in the list.

The top ten should be.

1. Wrex
2. Liara
3. Garrus
4. Mordin
5. Miranda
6. Legion
7. Tali
8. Kasumi
9. Zaeed
10. Grunt

So yeah that what the best character list should be.

There's only a max of 16 total squaddies you can have in the entire game (well, permanent ones--with temporary ones, you have 20 (Jenkins, Wilson, Dr. Kenson, and Liara)), so a list of 10 seems a bit extreme. That's over half of the permanent squadmates.

I'd say a list of 5 or so would be much more meaningful. And in my opinion, it would be:
1. Wrex, because he's awesome. Also because I respect him a lot.
2. Garrus, because he's Space Batman, and you really don't need a different
3. Liara, because LotSB made her pretty awesome too. She's probably the single most dynamic main character in the entire series--from shy archaeologist to the Shadow Broker in just two years!
4. Mordin, because, well, he sang Gilbert and Sullivan (and his backstory is an interesting one--the whole genophage thing is an interesting moral quandary in the first place, and he made it even more of one).
5. Legion, because let's face it, his backstory and motivations are obviously a whole lot more interesting than everyone else's.

Indeed. Funny Kasumi made it in that list. She's great ... but just a DLC character not everyone has.

Until I found "Liara" and "Wrex" I thought that's another biased article written by one "I started the series with ME2" guys. But yeah, it's no wonder the VS has no place on that list ... "too normal, too boring, not awesome enough". Must say, from both "mixed" biotics in ME1, I prefered Kaidan over Wrex for half of the game. Wrex had his missions too. And I used both far more often than Liara.

Generally I think everyone has his/her own list of "best ME teammates". It's all about taste.

Best to worst:
1. Wrex
2. Garrus ~ Ashley
4. Tali
5. Liara ~ Kaiden

Wrex should be #1, Mordin ****ing rules so he should be top 5. He is ****ing kickass on insanity.
Most biotics except for Thane and Liara suck.

It depends on your Shepard. I never had a biotic Shepard - but Infiltrators. My current playthrough is a soldier.

1. Wrex (Soldier) ~ Ashley (Infiltrator)
2. Kaidan (both) ~ Wrex (Infiltrator)
3. Garrus (Soldier) ~ Tali (Soldier)
4. Liara (both) ~ Ashley (Soldier)

Something like that. My fav squad was either Ash + Kaidan or Ash + Wrex as Infiltrator. Since the Soldier class doesn't come with any tech skills I need to have at least one tech-specialist in my squad (which makes Tali even more important for the soldier class).
