I love Hale in both games. Don't think she's remotely bad in either. Ditto with Meer.

Never said hale was bad at least directly, only that her method can be counter productive to roleplaying. I don't know why I am suddenly flirting like a dog in heat to jacob but I certainly didn't choose to.

This is why I'll be orchestrating his death in my latest FemShep playthrough. I don't want to ever talk to him again.Nashiktal wrote...

Um... I played ME1 and ME2 together and they didn't really sound noticably different. :/ Was this because I played Paragon or is there some nostalgia-fog glasses-wearing going on here?who would know wrote...
I will forever prefer how FemShep sounded in the original ME.
Nah, it's not that. There's a difference in voice direction between the two games. And, I played ME2 first. I'll just quote myself from another thread, because I can't think of a better way to say it:

I didn't mind femShep's rough 'n' tough ME2 voice, but after playing
Mass Effect, I couldn't help but pine for the softer, smoother,
unafraid-to-be-less-than-totally-hardcore voice direction that femShep
had in the first game.

Aye, I can concede that the Jacob stuff with FemShep was a low point for sure.

Can't really blame that on Hale, though. It's the director that gives the cues as to how she's supposed to say things.

Anyway, having an audio clip titled in that way doesn't mean that the character WILL die, just that they CAN die.

Yeah, but think about it. Mass Effect 2. There were plenty of death scenes, but few were inevitable. That it is POSSIBLE for that character to die is not so surprising. That it is inevitable, we don't know.Cancer Puppet wrote...

Wow was kind of a big spoiler, but I saw it coming so I don't mind. Also nice episode hopefully we'll be getting a lot of this in the coming months.
Seriously, does anybody at Bioware not fully realise that there are people on the bsn who examine every frame of every video released? It's my own fault for examining the image, but I really didn't want to know that. I'm not even a "I don't want to know anything before the game comes out" kind of guy. That's just too, too much. It sucks. I like that character.
Dude, why are you blaming the actress for the cheesy, heavy-handed Jacob sexmance? That's like blaming Keener forNashiktal wrote...

Garrus calibrating too much. Actors have less control than you'd think, man.
Hale just read the lines to suit the sexmance, according to what the director told her. I don't blame either of them for that. I just think the Jacob-Shepard interactions should've been written completely differently. Same with the Garrus-Shepard interactions, for that matter.
Now this, I very much agree with. I'm glad that ME3 seems to be less afraid of the softer moments, more interested in consistency and range than the simple straightforward punch, and maybe we'll see that side of Hale again for the final game. I felt the same; that sometimes she was maybe pushed a little too hard, and there's a subtle undercurrent of forcedness that leaks out here and there. I would be happy to see that element disappear.who would know wrote...

Okay, now I am jonesing for that FemShep trailer 40x as much. Or at least a release date. I need to get me a stress ball... *lol*

Worth noting that there is one great scene between the two of them though. The one where FemShep actually gets to tell someone how she is feeling after everything that has happened.
It's not massive, but that scene really shows that the romance had a lot of potential.

Yeah, they seem to have reiterated that number after all. That's 15k more than ME2 vanilla had.
